Had a great server, cannot remember his name. We had the Wisconsin cheese curds, and the entire table had the shrimp tacos. Very nice dinner for our party of 4. Food and service is always consistent.

We went on Sunday for lunch, ONLY a brunch menu was available despite the special “Camp Merch” menu that is for a limited time and advertised frequently. The food was not hot when it came (eggs, grits and a biscuit).

Our food was good but I was truly appalled when our waiter asked us to leave we had just finished eating and paid our bill and was finishing our coffee visiting with out of town relatives when the waiter said he needed our table and needed to leave, we were there maybe one hour tops had a reservation for 10:30 and was asked to leave at 11:20 they had several other four tops available. I have been to many restaurants in my 60 years of life and this was a first for me. Will not return. I don’t believe a restaurant should ever ask a customer to leave unless they were causing a disturbance especially in less than an hour time.

Everything was good until they told us to leave regardless of how long we there.the mgr came by and said there were other reservations waiting but I still saw a whole bunch of empty tables.that is not how you run a business regardless of the length of time, we had appetizers, main course and several drinks visiting with good friends and sometimes the time just flys by, so that was not very professional and our last time there regardless of how good the food was.

All was well with the exception of the biscuits. We ordered the biscuit basket and the biscuits were dry and cold…we were so disappointed! I was saving my carbs for a warm biscuit with butter. They were so dry and cold I could not even spread butter on them. The rest of the food was delicious.

The only redeeming aspect of our experience was the drink I got. It was fabulous. Everything else was beyond disappointing. It seemed like every table in the restaurant was seated at the same time so each employee was overwhelmed & couldn’t provide adequate service to any of their guests. The food was so greasy, it was almost not edible. We got the cheese curds and the fried green beans. Obviously both of those are greasy, but the amount of grease left behind was not pleasant. After we got those appetizers, we did not even want to order main dishes so we got our ticket and left. We won’t be back, unfortunately.

Neat place! The service was outstanding. Loved our specialty drinks and the cheese curd appetizer was delicious. There were a few of us at the table who felt our dishes (crawfish pasta & fish and grits) needed more seasoning. Otherwise a great meal. Will go back.

I know I booked an inside table but we were told only the patio was available - it wasn’t bad but not the atmosphere we wanted. Food was very good but the service was poor - we had to ask for water refills multiple times and had to ask for silverware and napkins.

We choose Overpass Merchant for our valentines celebration and was disappointed. We’ve visited for brunch before, but this visit was not on the same level. No one actually greeted us when we walked in the door, and the hostess didn’t make eye contact with us for a bit. I don’t know if they were over booked after the comment on the number of reservations for that time. Our food was ok, definitely not the claim on the menu or as good our first visit. The Resturant was out of cheese curds, which was what we wanted as our starter. The food was warm when it made it to the table, not hot. My biscuit was not fluffy or soft, butter did not melt when it was added to biscuit. Side of gravy added to chicken biscuit was a little bit dribbled onto the chicken in the biscuit. If this had been our first visit to brunch, it would’ve been our last. Had to ask server for coffee refills every time, no anticipated refills were offered to us. This was not the experience that we expected when we booked Merchant Overpass for our valentines brunch.

I think they were just having a bad service night bc the 1st we went it was much better. The hostess said they had overbooked, and she tried to seat us at the actual bar (which we wouldn’t have needed a Resv for. We finally got a table in the bar area at a high-top, which I specifically asked for a standard table. Took 30 minutes to get anyone to acknowledge us. After ordering, it took 45 min to get our food and they forgot the appetizer. Food was good - more like elevated bar snacks. Took another 25 min to get our check.Hoping they can work it out bc it’s a cute place.

We arrived at the restaurant and it was closed! I should not have been able to make a reservation on open table when the restaurant was closed!!!!! Then my group had to scramble to find a place to have dinner….very disappointing

One of my favorite places to go in Baton Rouge for casual dining. Reserved a standard table for four inside. When we arrived we were seated outside, even with the reservation and at least five open tables for four inside. I asked why I was being seated outside and didn’t get a great explanation. Not the same being outside, was extremely disappointed.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our brunch! We had cheese curds for an appetizer. Yummy, and I loved the restaurant style ranch served with them. My boyfriend had the breakfast burger and he loved it. I got the honey chicken biscuit which was great as well. We both got Bloody Marys which were delicious. Our only complaint is that the past few restaurants we’ve used OpenTable to book through always end up seating us at these family style long benches where we can hear every word of our neighbors conversations and literally reach out and touch them! Plus, no room for me to sit next to my boyfriend at any point during the meal without rubbing elbows with the customer next to him. I guess that seating style is the trend now but I wish we could have had more say over our seating choice. I wish OpenTable would show the layouts of restaurants and let us select a table that way… it would be fantastic!

We had fabulous lemon drop martinis, beer and other cocktails. The brussel sprouts, cheese curds and pork buns were tasty and great to share. That burger is one of the best in BR. Our server was very attentive , we will be back.

Took my teenagers out to dinner. This place has a great vibe and the decor/ambiance is great, but they didn’t take into account acoustics when designing. It’s so loud every time I’ve been here that you have to strain to have conversations. It’s a real peeve of mine. The food was OK. It’s usually so much better but it was Friday night and super busy, so I give a pass on this issue. Overall, I like the restaurant and will try again, but not on a weekend night.
