It was a great experience.. food was really good and service was great as well
Very nice dinner. The food was tasty. I liked the patio area. Not too noisy. The service was excellent. I was a little concerned about some of the reviews that were less than favorable. We did not experience any issues.
Overall good but the carnitas were dry and a little difficult to swallow
Great food, incredible service, can't wait to go back! Oscar was the best!
Chochinita Pipil meat too fatty.
Always delicious and amazing service.
Have been here before and typically thoroughly enjoy it. This time, mainly complaint was the mango habanero margarita, which was surprisingly bland, neither particularly sweet nor spicy. For $13, I was expecting something special. The portobello fajitas were tasty (as usual), but my date was unimpressed by the enchiladas suizas. Service was very good. I'd definitely recommend the place to others, but I think given their price point, they should ensure the food and drinks are consistently top notch.
Great good and service. Happy you’re open again.
Went to brunch. Was so good we went back the next day for brunch again. Food came out as ordered and the correct temperature. Drink refills were a little slow but otherwise service was good. Manager stopped by both days to check how we were doing. Love the corn muffins they have at brunch
Food was very good.
Ninfa’s Uptown is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Houston! The queso flameado, tacos a la Ninfa (both chicken and beef), and frozen margaritas are all so tasty for lunch/dinner, but Ninfa’s Uptown has a hidden secret - their brunch! At brunch, the waffle is delicious crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, while the breakfast tacos on their delicious tortillas are excellent! Of course, Ninfa’s Uptown also excels in their service - the waitstaff, managers, and chefs are all incredibly personable and skilled, and they really make eating at Ninfa’s Uptown feel like I’m eating at the home of one of my family members! I can’t recommend Ninfa’s Uptown enough!
The Original Ninfa's on Navigation should forbid this Ninfa's imposter from using the word "Original" in their name so as to distance themselves from this restaurant. With all of the fine restaurants in Houston, this restaurant should be ashamed of experience they provided us with on Saturday night. They had one poor waiter serving the entire patio area, which was quite busy - no help in sight - Strike 1.
The evening started out with a drink order - I ordered a Patron Margarita ("sorry, we don't have any Patron - Silver, Reposado, or Anejo."). What? What Mexican restaurant doesn't have Patron Tequila? It is a staple in all Mexican restaurants. I opted for a Ninfa's "hand-selected, exclusive" El Tesoro Tequila... yuck. Strike 2.
The salsa was tasteless (Strike 3) but the chips were OK. The queso came with a lovely, 1/2" film on it meaning it was ice cold - first item sent back and Strike 4. Enchiladas ordered with Flour tortillas came with Corn - Strike 5. Refried beans came instead of Burracho beans - second item sent back and Strike 6. Tacos Al Carbon ordered well done came cold and pink - third item sent back, Strike 7, and appetite lost, tempers getting short.
The Diablo Shrimp was actually good, but anything stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon, and dipped in garlic butter has really got to work hard to be bad.
Empty water glass stayed that way - Strike 8.
We called the manager, Elle, over and she apologized, but offered nothing to make up for the poor experience. With patience lost, we sought out someone higher up and he comped all of our food, but still charged us for the terrible drinks.
We now understand why this place was shuttered a bit ago and believe it will be again in the very near future.
I do not recommend sitting on the patio (even with this lovely weather) if you want to have a conversation because the San Felipe Raceway was in full swing on Saturday night and was extremely noisy.
Needless to say, we will not be back.
We sat outside beautiful day
I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in Houston and this is subpar in comparison. It’s overpriced and the food leaves much to be desired. I won’t be back.
There was a rat that ran across the floor when we were sitting outside. Prior to that we didn’t have a waiter dedicated to us the entire time even though we had a reservation.
Food was great as usual. The staff was super nice and attentive. Always a pleasure stopping by and eating here.
The food was really quite good. There was some street noise with fire engines and EMS going by multiple times. The server was a very nice person but not super attentive. We had to beg for more water and coffee and salt and pepper etc. Overall though it was a wonderful experience that was not marred by the less than superior service.
The restaurant was not clean at all! We went to several different tables looking for a clean one and they where all dirty! My server was very nice and sweet! But I won’t be dinning here again.
Food was great! Waiter, though he was attentive was a tad slow.
Waiter was fantastic, quick food & drinks were great
The food as always was great as was the service. We have been patrons of Ninfa’s since 1978 frequenting the Echo Ln. location (now closed). Please bring back the Ninfa’s Daily menu item along with green peas in the rice.
I am glad to see Ninfa’s reopened-hope they hang in there. My wife of 40 years and I have been going to Ninfa’s since 1978. The Ninfaritas are the best margaritas in Houston. Wish they would bring back the Spanish rice with peas.
Waiter was not as attentive as he should have been had to hunt him down for water and tea and check
Food was amazing, and the service was even better!!!!
We love Ninfa’s! Today the food was a a bit off - 3 orders of Taco Al Corbon were not edible. Presentation was beautiful but the fajita meat was so tough you couldn’t eat it. The kind you could choke on if not careful......the $1.00 margaritas made up for it though. Service was excellent...very attentive and fun place for a Sunday afternoon. Red snapper tacos were good.....
The food was wonderful. Service was great. Everyone that works there was so friendly!
Everything was great but we sat outside next to a very loud and obnoxious group. Food and drink were great!!
Been there several times since restaurant opened. Food and service not up to par. Maybe somewhat due to covid virus but we were disappointed. Won't likely be back any time soon
Felt very safe. Good distancing.
Excellent food and service. Breakfast Tacos and Margarita special - unbelievable value and delicious food.
Everyone was so friendly. It was a great experience
I really enjoyed the Mole Salmon and the Dollar Margaritas on special tonight. Ask for Oscar. He is the best waiter. Attentive and friendly. Excellent service and the food and margaritas were tasty.
Sophisticated TexMex, that’s pushing new dishes, and excellent at old standbys.
Amazing service by Santos !! Great food
The service was superb from the servers to management. Very accommodating.
very nice service, food delicious.thank you so much
As always, service was superb and the meal and drinks were 5 star!!
Brunch on Sunday outside. Was great but a little warm.
