I’ve been here a couple of times before and enjoyed it but mid week the menu had very little to choose from. I wasn’t particularly impressed with either of the white wines I had and I was also disappointed with 3 of the 4 dishes we had. The bill was also surprisingly expensive given how little we ate. Unfortunately, that will be my last visit to the Nook.

Small and intimate in size but BIG in flavour and comes with great front of house service. Small plates to share are the way to go here. The chef is Turkish and therefore the dishes have an influence of Turkish cuisine about them. Each dish is freshly cooked to order and the flavours were fresh and delicious. We ordered all of the small plates which we shared between the four of us and found this worked well. We even had a small space for a naughty desert! The wine was expensive to us (non Londoners) but a good selection to choose from and we were delighted to see some Austrian wine on the list which is unusual in Devon. We had a great evening and would love to re visit again sometime in the future. Thank you!

We had a great evening at the Nook. Food was excellent (and plentiful) at a good value. Really enjoyed my wine as well. A perfect hidden gem in Islington.

Intimate atmosphere, great wine, warm service! Great little wine spot. Can't recall the name of the wine we drank and it wasn't on the menu but was great!

Delicious food and wine - we had a fantastic evening. The only drawback was being surprised by the price of the full-bodied wine!

Valentine's day set menu so they were understandably very busy but we were almost 3 hours to get through 4 courses, so usually 40 mins + waiting for next plate. Food was pretty good but just let down by the service
