It is decorated with dark, rich wood tones, sophisticated dim lighting and offers a full-service bar. Guests are invited to enjoy happy hour every Tuesday � Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. for special prices on drinks and food items. The menu at M & M Restaurant & Bar consists of brunch options, a children�s menu as well as dinner and daily lunch specials. From the avocado pancake appetizers to the bread pudding dessert, and everything in-between, its all great! Kinda like a pub feeling inside. Dark wood with TVs over the bar. Not obtrusive at all, but a great way to keep an eye on the game and have a tasty meal. Not a tourist destination. It's all locals.

M&M is just a great local place - excellent Snapper diablo, excellent martinis, even a good steak. Acoustic music on weekends. We come down on weekends and it never disappoints. great atmosphere - you don't feel like you are in an open warehouse, which is your fate in some well-known Galveston places...

We love M&M and already have another visit scheduled. This is the go to place before or after the theater at the grand when we come down from Houston........ This was my fifth visit, and we were seated quickly and served great. However at the same time a huge party came in and "wham" we were forgotten after our appetizer order was put in. We ate the appetizer and after a long wait, decide to just leave and eat once we made it back to Houston. Our server was nice, friendly and funny, however he was overwhelmed with a table of 20 or so people and just plain forgot about us. We were not angry or felt insulted at all, we know from our previous visits, that was not normal. When we asked for the check, he was apologetic and even offered to have a different server take care of us, but by that time we were already planning our order at the restaurant we went to after our drive back to H-town. Next month we already have plans to stop in before another Musical (Ragtime), so we will see them again soon....we highly recommend M&M. The avocado pancakes are fantastic.

We had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Galveston. As the owner of 2 restaurants, my wife and I do not throw out great reviews lightly.

Wait staff was good- attentive The crab appetizer was excellent I had salmon as the main course and it was average. A little dry and lacking flavor The shrimp dinner looked like a good choice

We were running late and I thought we were going to miss dinner all together, but M&M graciously stayed late, kept the kitchen open for us and served us a delicious meal. They are warm, wonderful people and we can't wait to go back!

The food and service at M & M are always exceptional. You have to definitely try the frozen bellinis. They are delicious.

We have been to M&M 3 or 4 times and really like the quality of their food, the combinations of seafood dishes, the great appetizers and the nice salads. We LOVE the key lime tart for dessert. Now--a criticism I must make--since it happened two times in a row. This time I ordered Diablo Snapper (which is topped with a crawfish sauce). Both the crawfish sauce and the snapper were over-salted--so much so that although it was very fresh fish--I left over half on my plate. When we were here on a previous visit, the same thing happened to my Pecan-crusted snapper. Just too much salt. I might add that my husband--in my estimation--uses too much salt. And when he agreed with me on the over-salted dish, I knew I needed to report it. This can, of course be corrected--but it shows a failure to have a delicate touch in the kitchen, where the chef is always checking for the taste of food that is being served. Hope this problem is corrected. I know some restaurants under-salt their food and you have to add a bit. It Is a delicate balance. But over-salting makes it impossible to enjoy!
