   Our visit to the Loosebox did not start well as the girl who greeted us had no record of our booking. It was very busy and with no apparent reservation we could not be seated in the central part and ended up by the bar. We waited 30 mins for our starter and then 40 mins for the main course. The food was satisfactory and the staff were friendly but the service gave the impression of being badly organised and haphazard.

   The restaurant did not have our booking & didn’t want to give us a table. Eventually they made up a table for us. We meet there every 6 weeks so we know the food & the restaurant. This time it was expensive for what we got. There were lots of groups (which is great) but it was very noisy. We have never been there this close to Christmas. We enjoyed our meals there over the years but I think that may have been our last visit there - for the time being anyway!

   I went here for Sunday roast with two friends, the food was good and the place looked nice but the service was so bad we wouldn't go back or recommend it to anyone. My friend ordered a coke that took 20mins to arrive, and our food took 50mins to arrive, and there was no proper apology. We had to ask three different waiters to get gravy and were disappointed to be served plain cauliflower rather than the cauliflower cheese mentioned on the menu (this was not mentioned beforehand, instead when I asked the waiter had to check with the kitchen and came back saying "we don't do cheese today"). A couple sat next to us got up to leave cause they'd waited so long for their food but were caught by the door by the waiter as their food was just ready and they were convinced to sit down again. It's a shame the service is so poor cause the Sunday roast is actually good. We asked for the service charge to be taken off the bill, which they did without question.

   Very nice place to eat, but the service is too long for drinks and food. The fish in the beer batter - a defrosted small piece of filet covered in a long balloon of batter full of oil without any taste. The chips were the best part of the meal. The burger and steak meals were okay as my colleagues cleared their plates. Change quite a lot since I last went there with our work team, when there was a selection of large indoor games to play.

   Food was ordered at 1730. At that time we were told the food would take 15-20 minutes. I explained we needed to be away for 1815. At 1750 I chased for an update and was told 10 minutes maximum. At 1810 I explained we could no longer wait for the food and had to leave without eating. Apparently we lost out to a large group that had pre ordered. If we had been told that at 1730 we would have looked elsewhere. Very disappointing

   The Loose Box is a good choice close to the Royal Horticultural Halls. It is a large pub, with a reasonable selection of beers, a good menu and large portions. Staff were friendly and attentive.

   The food was good. The order was brought quickly and the service was good. This made a pleasant lunch.

   Amazing Sunday roast with all the trimmings, and at an excellent price for a central London venue. Staff were friendly and attentive. I would go again!

   This is the second time that we have visited after visiting an exhibition at Tate Britain (5 minute walk ) It is friendly and spacious and the food is delicious.

    Went for lunch and it was a good place to catch up with a friend, especially in the Victoria area. Service is good and you can hear yourself - and your friend(s) - speak. Had a sandwich and really it was only average. The chips were good and some of the hot meals looked better than the sandwich option.
