This monthly event features your choice of organic teas from Smith Teamaker, paired with a selection of handmade sweet and savory treats from our culinary team. We also offer gluten-free tickets for our guests with dietary needs. Please be sure to select this option when booking. To make your afternoon even more festive, mimosa carafes, bubbly, and champagne are available for pre-purchase during checkout. Cocktails and additional bottles will also be available à la carte throughout the event. Greet the weekend with family and friends, or take a moment to treat yourself. Overall we had a very good experience. There were four of us who ordered the sea bass and one piece was the end of the fish. It was overcooked and not good. Wish the chef had not scrimped on the fish. Cocktails are awesome and we had great service.

We have always loved The Lively for its exceptional food, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service, so we were truly excited to experience their afternoon tea for the first time. The ambiance and service were, as always, impeccable. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food during this particular visit. The scones were harder than expected, the sandwich bread seemed somewhat dried out, and among the desserts, only the chocolate item had a truly rich flavor. The cookie was also quite hard and difficult to enjoy. Having experienced afternoon teas in the Pacific Northwest, Boston, and London, we were looking forward to a similar standard of freshness and flavor. While the menu itself looked delightful, the taste and texture did not quite reflect the high quality we’ve come to associate with The Lively. We likely would not return for tea; however, we remain loyal fans of the restaurant overall and will absolutely continue to visit for regular meals, which have consistently been among our favorites.

Afternoon tea at The Lively, was lovely and the food was DELICIOUS! Only thing, the tea pot they provide gives you one cup of tea. And well, despite the fact that the waiter asked us to let him know if we needed more hot water, he lacked the effort in coming back over to our table to see if we wanted any. Slightly better service and the experience would have been perfect! Despite this - would definitely do afternoon tea here again.

Service was great amazing, food was good but the portion sizes were way too small. My steak was not worth the price for how much I received.

We do have some cuts on our menu in the 8 to 10-ounce range but also offer larger options like our côte de boeuf, which can range from 1 to 3 pounds. I know the reviews on the Lively have been mixed lately; the purpose of this review is to review their wine dinner in case you see it in the future are considering it they do wine dinners every few months post it on social media (one of the hot new local restaurant trends are “upscale” wine diners frequently paired with Wallaa Wallaa wineries). So here’s my “lively” review haha Apparently last night I was part of a miniature reality TV show didn’t know that’s what I was signing up for tonight thought it was going to be an upscale 5 course wine dinner with Long Shadow winery. The first dish/course was a “grilled” watermelon & feta “salad”. The first dish had me scratching my head arrives in this small Petri dish. I am sitting there scratching my head wondering Amuse Bouche or a salad? Little lost on that one The watermelon was not “grilled” at all despite what the description said which happened a few times during this dinner actually haha. Next course for the wine dinner was the pork and goat cheese triangoli. The triangoli was not cooked fully; the filling (pork was very dry) the sauce was flavorful was just a dallop. I liked the addition of the pistachios added a nice crunch to the pasta. The radicchio was the star of this course. Overall the dryness of the pork and the undercooked pasta robbed the course of what it could have been in terms of execution/flavor. Next course on our “mini” food menu haha was the roasted quail. The mini quail despite its small quantity was very flavorful with hints of cinnamon; I literally had one fork of hominy just on my plate pretty ridiculous. Next up was the Beef Tenderloin. The Beef tenderloin was cold and needed salt; I literally had one potato and one carrot on my plate despite it being described in the “plural” in the course description. For being a fine dining spot lot of technical misses like undercooked pasta, salt, and small portion sizes particularly on an upscale/$150 wine dinner. Last dish of the night was

Flowing, gorgeous, elegant space, staffed by warm, kind, somewhat undertrained people dressed like they’re going grocery shopping on Saturday morning. Dinner was good not great, with the exception of the silken-textured potato bisque, savory Nonna’s meatballs, and heavenly fresh-baked dinner rolls.
