   Had an absolute shocker here on may 6th, bank holiday Monday. Having booked a table well in advance for 2pm, we arrived just before and got seated at the table. We did not receive any initial approach and eventually had to chase up menus, which we were given by one of the waitresses. We decided on what to eat and drink, however once the same waitress came over to take our order, she informed us that they did not accept any food orders at all due to "being absolutely slammed in the kitchen". She could not give us an indication for when we would be able to order and did not offer an alternative solution or anything to compensate. Horrible customer service and highly controversial way of running a pub / restaurant. We ended up simply leaving the place and going elsewhere.

   By 8.30 pm they ran out of the starters and one some main courses that we wanted to order. I ordered a butternut ravioli: hardly no taste, not cooked properly and my friend ordered the pork belly: not very good either. The soups were good

   The kitchen has raised its game. Great Sunday roast with lovely atmosphere. Service could be a bit on the slow side, but the place was packed. Will definitely try the rest of the menu

   Picked The Lighthouse to give their pub quiz a go. Was good fun (the Quiz Master was especially good at the job), and the food was a pleasant surprise! The jerk chicken burger with mango and lime slaw/dressing on the side was fantastic!

   To be fair the food was good, but our waitress was very forgetful and the food took about 2 hours to arrive. Will not go again.
