Located in the London Marriott Hotel County Hall, The Library décor features the original oak bookcases stacked with the classics and adorned with busts of literary and historical figures. Indulge in history whilst enjoying spectacular views over the River Thames and Big Ben.
Award-winning Executive Head Chef Jamie Welch has created a new elegant menu for The Library featuring contemporary British dishes with a modern twist.
Freshly prepared by our creative pastry chefs, afternoon tea features reimagined classics including a delectable arrangement of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury scones served with seasonal jams and clotted cream, and full flavoured finger sandwiches.

    Great setting, fantastic friendly and efficient service. Unexpected ‘top up’ of sandwich course. Great cakes and scones (not really a cake person!) and able to order my staple red wine to enjoy alongside, after the champagne! Go see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed

    Magnificent vegan afternoon tea watching the sunset backlighting Big Ben. Unforgettable. Attentive service from Rio offering welcoming refils throughout the 2 hours. The flavours and textures of the food were mouthwatering. The only reason value didn’t get 5 stars is high cost of ANY vegan meal but afternoon tea at The Library at £65 was better value than most. For flavour, presentation and service it is the best we have ever had. Cunards Queen Elizabeth could certainly learn a few things here..

    Wonderful afternoon tea experience. We didn’t get a table with a view, but the overall scenery was exceptional and such a unique experience! The food was great, there was a great selection of teas, and waiter was awesome! Would definitely recommend for a unique experience, and antique tea feel!

    Great experience. Room is great with all books. Staff was so pleasant and understanding, explaining the items. Very nice and a great pace of service. A completely relaxing and enjoyable afternoon.

    I treated my Wife to Afternoon Tea for her retirement. The venue was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful. We would go again.

    A bit lack lustre- sandwiches served in a plate to each person…… a cake stand would have been more attractive. Only one tea offered for the whole duration. Disappointing for the price paid.
