Award-winning Executive Head Chef Jamie Welch has created a new elegant menu for The Library featuring contemporary British dishes with a modern twist.
Freshly prepared by our creative pastry chefs, afternoon tea features reimagined classics including a delectable arrangement of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury scones served with seasonal jams and clotted cream, and full flavoured finger sandwiches.

Excellent afternoon tea. Food was delicious some different ideas. Loved the goat’s cheese tart, different scones and beautiful cakes. The surroundings were stunning, a walk down memory lane for my husband who used to work there. It was topped with a lovely view. Great day.

The food was fresh, plentiful and beautiful, however the service was a little slow and not crowded enough for us to use that as an excuse. Many times we would have to flag out someone to get some of this or that, instead of them coming by or walking by to check on us.

Wonderful food and a special mention to the staff who made us feel very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble.

The venue was in a perfect location for having Tea in London! Our table by the window overlooked the Thames and Big Ben "Elizabeth's Tower." The room was great and the service impeccable. Our tea selections were great, I recommend the Bora Bora! While the ambiance and teas were lovely, the food was a major disappointment. The scones and lemon curd were good. And the cucumber sandwiches were tasty. Everything else failed. All of the desserts were the same gele-based texture of varying fruits. It would have been nice to offer different textures and tastes.

This was an excellent afternoon tea experience. The room is beautiful itself, but the view of Parliament and Elizabeth Tower/Big Ben across the Thames was extraordinary! We did the regular tea and had more than enough to eat (it acted as a late lunch) and drink. Each person could choose his or her own tea flavor and there were so many options! The service was great without being overbearing.

We enjoyed out tea at this location. We choose it because my daughter loves books. And the view was very nice. Our server did a wonderful job and was very knowledgable. The food was good. Not great. Due to this fact, the price was a little spendy for the quality of food.

Beautiful space, but extremely slow service, sandwiches were pretty standard, deserts looked beautiful but were actually frozen (berry tart was frozen solid and was crunch with ice), which was extremely disappointing and gross. In my opinion also were all just sweet, not particularly flavorful. Overall absolutely not worth the money or time.
