Located in the London Marriott Hotel County Hall, The Library décor features the original oak bookcases stacked with the classics and adorned with busts of literary and historical figures. Indulge in history whilst enjoying spectacular views over the River Thames and Big Ben.
Award-winning Executive Head Chef Jamie Welch has created a new elegant menu for The Library featuring contemporary British dishes with a modern twist.
Freshly prepared by our creative pastry chefs, afternoon tea features reimagined classics including a delectable arrangement of cakes and pastries, sweet and savoury scones served with seasonal jams and clotted cream, and full flavoured finger sandwiches.

    Appreciated the accommodation of our party of six - relatively large, requiring rearrangement of tables. Appreciated way of identifying different tea options. Food and tea were very delicious and beautifully presented.

    They were able to cater for my gluten free . The food was very good . As well as the service. It felt relaxed & comfortable, the staff were helpful. Great view of the river , Big Ben & of course the fly over for the King's Official Birthday.

    Being a complete bookworm, when I saw a tea service in a library, there was no question we were doing this. The location is the old library in the county hall turned Marriott hotel. The library itself was charming with tables set among bookcases of old law books and such and felt more private than a typical restaurant. The view was literally out over the Thames right at Elizabeth Tower-it was really beautiful. Stuck with our typical tea of choice-Earl Gray-and it was delicious. There was a lot of food-3 different sandwiches, 6 cakes, a sweet scone and a savory scone-it was a lot, too much to finish but we tried everything. The server was very friendly.

    Excellent afternoon tea. Food was delicious some different ideas. Loved the goat’s cheese tart, different scones and beautiful cakes. The surroundings were stunning, a walk down memory lane for my husband who used to work there. It was topped with a lovely view. Great day.

    The food was fresh, plentiful and beautiful, however the service was a little slow and not crowded enough for us to use that as an excuse. Many times we would have to flag out someone to get some of this or that, instead of them coming by or walking by to check on us.
