   The food was excellent. We enjoyed Scottish oysters, 2 glasses of British sparkling wine, a lovely wine bottle, and a main each (cod and halibut respectively) and one dessert. Absolutely wonderful food. Total bill ca £300. We didn’t get any serving spoons, for some reason (not on the second visit the day after either)? The restaurant was a bit empty and the potted flower was wilted hence the “ambiance” was not rated higher. Asked for a specific corner table for the day after as we would be a group of 6, but was showed another table instead, which was annoying. All in all would come back (and did!) for the food. Waiting staff nice and approachable.

   Coffee & wine was way too expensive. We were charged £7 for one Macchiato. And a small glass of wine for £17.

   I had a lovely birthday lunch. The food was delicious, and the outdoor seating area created a lovely ambience. They even surprised me with a special dessert! Highly recommend it for a birthday celebration. 🎉🍽️

   Changing the shift at 3 is not a good idea. Suddenly you have new waiters serving you. Excellent food, somewhat lazy waiters. I understand the road work affects business, but waiters should be more enthusiastic and excited about their work.

   First time here and we were really pleased, specially with the food and service! Food was exquisite! Would truly recommend the monkfish which was 10/10! Service was extraordinary too. I was just a bit disappointed as I was expecting live music but the musician cancelled that day. I’ll definitely be back to try the bar food menu and see live music

   Excellent food, good choice and very accommodating on dietary requirements. Nice informal setting, splendid service in restaurant, less so from bar
