This gorgeous location attached to the contemporary art museum and overlooking the cliffs of La Jolla and the ocean puts you right in the mood to enjoy yourself, and then the food delivers as well. We had the artichoke chicken, the chicken schnitzel, the budino, the lemon bar and two mocktails. Everything was gorgeously presented and plated, fresh and tasty. Would order every item again. The host was very friendly and welcoming, and our server was okay but didn't seem too enthused. The meal felt very much like a special occasion from the sum of its elements, and I would 10/10 go again.

What a wonderful dining experience, from start to finish! The food was delicious, great presentation, tastes were mouth stimulating; great mixture of taste with the end result extremely satisfying. Location the best. Had it not been so overcast ot would have been a memorable sunset, maybe next time.

The”Study of” monthly dinners are a unique and delicious experience! We have been to more than a dozen since early last year. We make reservations as soon as they are available. Tim Kolenko and his team are top notch and the servers are special. They are knowledgeable and very personable. Overall, we highly recommend the Kitchen, but especially these unique dinners.

Three of us enjoyed the special menu of several course featuring avocados. The dishes were very innovative using multiple textures and spices. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Very relaxing outside atmosphere even on a June gloom evening.

Parking can be challenging but worth the effort. The views are stunning from every seating area, both outside and inside. The gigantic mural by Eleanor Antin on the inside wall is also a visual feast. I especially loved the tableware and utensils. Altogether an aesthetically delightful experience.

Hamachi app amazing! Sunset views breathtaking. Prawn and salmon entrees unique and delicate flavors. Can’t wait to go back and bring visiting friends and fam. Perfect dinner date spot after viewing art at museum.
