Like paint to a blank canvas, The Jacobson, or "The J" for regulars, transformed a 4,000-square foot warehouse into a modern restaurant and bar in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District.

A glance at The Jacobson's variety of contemporary American cuisine yields a collection for meat lovers, vegetarians and vegans. Much like an artist who draws inspiration from his or her own environment, diners in search of muse are encouraged to mix and match tastes when ordering appetizer & entrees from the Mingle & Center Stage sections of the menu.

Brunch was incredible! Glad to have found this spot while visiting KC!! Molly was a great server, kept our glasses filled and made sure we had what we needed. The donuts were to-die for!! Yum!! We will be back!

Our appetizer was great and my husband loved his burger. I ordered the Amish fried chicken. It was burned and had a weird taste. I would eat there again but would order something else. We had the butterscotch pudding for dessert and it wasn’t mixed well. Had weird clumps in it.

I wanted to go there with mg family but when we got there smelled like smoke and thet were sold out of the fried chicken. Like how??? Very upset about that

We sat at the bar first and had drinks and that was a great experience. Once we got sat at a table, it was terrible. The host didn't give us menus for some reason and then the server mentioned twice that he was going to get them for us and then we had to ask again. It took 20 minutes to get drinks and the rest was downhill after that. The food was sub-par, so overall was not a great place to go and I wouldn't recommend it.

Disappointed they were out of the chicken. Also the garlic mashed. This was at 5:30. French Dip was outstanding but a second voice.

Just totally different from past visits Host was not very attentive at all Waitress did not check in with us until we were 3/4 done eating Just not what we were are used to from our many other visits.
