   Our first visit under new ownership. Shared salad and had the appetizer scallops and crab cakes. All outstanding. Please keep them on the menu. Server Emily was super friendly and great. We will be back.

   Wow, on all accountants! Inside was calm and ambiance was beautiful. The wait staff was helpful in our decisions on food and drink as well as providing background info. Food and drinks were all amazing!!!

   We had heard from friends that the restaurant had improved after the bumps of new ownership so we were looking forward to returning. Unfortunately entrees were very disappointing. I had the duck breast which was very difficult to cut and chew. The side of polenta was tasty but not enough to sustain me. My husband had the risotto but was disappointed as well.

   My boys and I love coming here. It’s a great opportunity to decompress from the work week, but also get ready for the weekend. One of our favorite restaurants in Bend and the staff is beyond hospitable and fun to talk to.

   First time at Jackalope Grille under the new owner. This will not be our last visit. Menu was wonderful, the watermelon salad was fantastic! Noise level low, you could hear conversation! We will be back!!

   The salmon was a bit over-cooked, but still very good. The "wine by the glass" selection is abysmal. The asparagus, mashed potatoes and dessert were great.

   The Jackalope has a very cool interior and very nice ambiance. The food was really excellent although I would consider the portions as a little small. All of the pours seemed very small and that can be a significant part of the overall bill so I would recommend they stop being so stingy on the alcohol.

    Went to the Jackalope Grill last night as always it’s my favorite restaurant in Bend. Service was outstanding as well as the atmospheres and the cocktails. However I was seriously disappointed that they took their signature dish, Schnitzel off the menu. Probably won’t be going back until that’s back on the menu.

    We have visited Jackalope Grill since they originally opened. One of my favorite places. I had a special client give me a gift card there. We used it yesterday and it had a fair amount left. We offered to pay the tip separately. Sever instructed us to use the gift card to tip. I asked for a receipt showing the credit left for next time, she stated a gift card can only be used one time. She said she'd take the rest for her tip and scurried off. We waited. She came back and I stated, I am sorry but we're not giving you an extra XXXX as a tip. We will keep it for next visit. She said no you have to use it or lose it. So We literally purchased a bottle of wine to offset the balance, since it was a gift. When you read the gift card, it states, 'your credit balance of any unused amount will be emailed to you for the next visit.' Essentially she was trying to take the balance for herself. Super shady. We were very turned off by her attempting to take the balance of a gift to me. Very turned off and ruined our love for Jackalope. Not a legal transaction she attempted.

Laura, your server last night only works once a week. I have corrected this with her and she now knows now that it is possible to adjust gift cards.     As a long term patron of South Bend Bistro we were looking forward to a very special meal for our anniversary. Sadly the experience was not memorable. My scallops appetizer was quite good but not unique. After that it was all downhill. The king salmon was almost raw! The asparagus accompanying was low quality stringy and tasteless. The Radiatory was inedible because of extreme hot pepper season and the ground meat was tasteless again. As for service we asked 3 times for the crusty bread but it was delivered with a 1 inch portion of olive butter for 3 people. Literally a “sample “. Lastly the restaurant was informed it was our Anniversary. The table next to us celebrated a birthday with a cupcake and candle while we got nothing! In spite of the high ratings Jackelope has had under previous owners we, as world travelers, found it hardly memorable. With the original chef owner whom we knew for many years.it was unique.     Dinner was fabulous. We loved the beet and arugula salad. My wife had the salmon and said it was amazing. I've always been one to try things out of the usual, and was very impressed by the elk dish. It was a lovely dinner from start to finish. Highly recommended.

    Terrific retirement dinner at the Jackalope Grill. We loved the Poached Pear salad, which blended balsamic and Gorgonzola beautify. The Crispy Chicken and Rib Eye were expertly prepared and all of the wonderful food was topped only by the attentive and professional service.

    Had a fantastic dinner in the bar. Service was top notch, as was the food. We will be back for sure! The mushroom risotto with shrimp was outstanding, and husband's salmon was prepared perfectly (most overcook - this was absolutely perfect).

    The food and service were great but evidently the restaurant notified open table we were no shows. Providing open table evidence we were there is a waste of my time. There weren’t busy at all.

We try to mark everyone there as they come in and I did not have anyone use the name that was marked as a no-show that night. We try very hard to verify first and last names as guests come in. Sometimes couples will each book and then have two reservations. That is the only thing I can think of that may have caused that.     I liked the cuisine choices. Kind of out of our element.. Bone Marrow was interesting/good. Really enjoyed the new experience. Had the risotto and other pasta dish. The Salmon and Elk looked amazing... maybe next time.. Oh yeah dessert was excellent. We were very full and probably shouldn't have..... but had to.

    This is one of our favorite places to dine. We’ve been come to the Jackalope grill since it was in a strip mall. Always a good time and the food is awesome. Missed the jagerschnitzel though so I hope it comes back.

    The changes to Jackalope over the past 3 or 4 months have not been positive. Wine selection in the $75 to $125 range is "poor". The salads are cheaply made and not nearly as good as they use to be. Main course selections are overly limited, and lack both food quality as well as preparation effort/expertise. Service Staff are friendly and helpful, but slow. (Or perhaps assigned too many tables.) Overall the dining experience at Jackalope is not reflective of the $$$ charged, as it use to be. Bend has enough low-end and mediocre restaurants. Please don't reduce Jackalope to to one of those. This is the 2nd time in 3 months that our dining experience at Jackalope fell below expectations and cost. We will only try one more time.

    The Jackalope Grill use to be my favorite restaurant. I feel like the quality of food has decreased but the prices have increased. The drinks were good and the setting was nice. Ultimately, we went for the food and just were not very pleased.
