Best prepared halibut I’ve ever had! The food was amazing. The service stellar and I can’t believe I-don’t go there more often! This will definitely be one of my favorite restaurants in the future.

A very nice meal and time was had by all. Food was outstanding in all respects. The difference between a 5 star experience and this particular meal was the service, which was good but not equal to the reputation of the restaurant. Having been a head waiter and som at a fine dining restaurant, I know the standard. Wait staff need to obsess about the customers, keep their eyes moving and anticipate needs. Example: We were asked mid meal about needing anything...with two empty water glasses sitting on our table. That happened twice. And response was unacceptably slow. My take is that young, bubbly servers need much more training, and insistence about being 100% present while they work at TJG. If service doesn't equal food quality and presentation, that "last star" is never happening.

Tasty food but very small portions. White sparkling wine was not chilled sufficiently. Not a great place if you hate asparagus as nearly all entrees came with asparagus and no substitutions provided. Good service, nice ambience, but mediocre value.

The menu has changed and is limited. The bread service was poor. Not sure if they changed owners but it's definitely different.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We truly appreciate your feedback. We recently partnered with a local baker for our complimentary bread offerings, and your input is very helpful as we continue to evaluate that choice. We also wanted to share that The Jackalope Grill changed ownership about three years ago. With that transition, the menu has evolved to reflect new inspirations while still honoring the restaurant’s spirit. We are very proud of what Chef Josh Podwils has brought to the table at TJG. We hope you’ll consider giving the updated menu another chance now that you know it is not the same as before. We would love to welcome you back.

We enjoyed our experience last night at Jackalope Grill. Our dinner selections were delicious. We would have enjoyed a more traditional Caesar salad with crisp chopped lettuce, but the dressing was very good. The wait staff was charming and attentive.

Hostess and waitress both thought it was my birthday, it was not so I assume they mixed up our reservation with someone else. Took several minutes to be greeted. Bread was dry and served with what tasted like a bizarre sweet lemony butter but may have just been spoiled. Given a glass of room temperature sparkling wine. Scallop appetizer was 3 overcooked scallops with undercooked pancetta. We left without ordering entrees. Gentleman at table next to us verbalized being served a raw (not rare) elk tomahawk.

Jackalope has always been our “go to” places for fine dining. We loved the changes to the interior dining area with separate tables, no more banquet. Our dinners were excellent ( halibut and salmon). Our server was excellent and attentive to our group.

Excellent food from the start with the orange zested honey butter for the bread, fantastic salads, delicious halibut special, all the way to the warm brownie with salted caramel ice cream. A lovely date night!

Great dining experience. All in our party joined the “clean plate club”. Mushroom pasta was very tasty and my wife loved the lamb pops and were cooked to perfection for her taste. Our friends loved their salmon and steak entrees. The dining room is warmly decorated and it is quiet! We loved that we could actually converse and hear each other while speaking in a normal voice. Still one of our Bend favorite restaurants.

Hey Chuck, Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! We love hearing that everyone joined the “clean plate club” — that’s one of our favorite compliments! 🤤 It’s wonderful to know the mushroom pasta, lamb pops, salmon, and steak all hit the mark, and we’re especially glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. Creating a warm, welcoming space where people can truly connect over a meal is what we’re all about. We’re incredibly honored to remain one of your favorite spots in Bend and look forward to welcoming you back again soon! 🥂
