   We are regular visitors to the Ivy chain but this time is the first time we’ve been disappointed with some aspects of our experience. The burger ordered by three of our party was dry and hard work to eat. No sides were offered when one of the teenagers ordered steak for himself so we had to have a chip whip round, in the past we have always been offered sides. The waiter was friendly enough but certainly not the service we have received before. Just overall a little disappointing.

   Came here for dinner. Our table was ready when we were seated and service was good. Started with the sourdough bread which is delicious, and served warm. This is the first time we had steak tartar and it did not disappoint! Calamari was super soft and tender with a bit of a crisp outside. However, the portion was smaller than previous! Mains, sirloin steak, duck salad, both delicious! The service was good and staff friendly, but I don’t like it when people are taking dishes and clearing around me when I’m still eating my dinner.

   I recently visited The Ivy in Richmond with my children and had a really lovely experience. The service was great, the staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. It made all the difference, especially as it was a special outing for us. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. It has that classic Ivy feel but also feels light and comfortable, perfect for a family meal or a nice catch up with friends. The food was very good, nicely presented and full of flavour. There was a good range of options on the menu, so everyone found something they enjoyed. Everything came out in good time, and we never felt rushed or forgotten about. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon and exactly what we needed. I would definitely recommend The Ivy Richmond if you are looking for good food, great service, and a lovely setting to enjoy it in.

   Lovely decor and good service. Shame the food didn’t match! Very average and even bland. Very overpriced for the quality. What a shame. Won’t be returning any time soon!

   Popped in for lunch with visiting family, the starters were excellent and good main courses.

   Easter brunch was very pleasant, staff were attentive without being over the top. Food was very eatable and reasonably priced. The Easter bunny theme was sweet and unobtrusive. Overall a very pleasurable brunch!!

   Food - great. We had the tempura squid as a starter to share - good portion size and got us up and ready for our mains, which didn’t take long to come at all. In terms of ambience, I’ve been a loyal customer for the past few years and I reckon it could be improved slightly. The conversations from other tables were audible despite the low volume they were speaking at, which we found to be a major drawback and quite disappointing, but the vibes overall were positive and the service was great. Our waiter was eager and happy to serve us and the food was great. For mains we got the fillet steak and the chicken with truffle sauce and a few drinks alongside it. They were also willing to make a cocktail (cosmopolitan) off the menu, which was pleasing. For dessert we shared a creme brulee!The bill was 180, which I think was relatively fair for the quality. Overall great experience and will be going back soon.

    Great experience for a birthday dinner with family. They were very attentive to our allergens (coeliac and shellfish) and had plenty of options available and accessible through an allergen menu. Plus allergen friendly food arrived with a special marker which was great. They were also really kind to us when we had a small toddler and we felt really welcome (even when he kept throwing his sippy cup.) The food was lovely, the ambience beautiful and the service very attentive. Will definitely be back! Thank you
