   Pleasant small cafe location in a little strip mall. Very good food and selection as well as service. I can't do five stars because it's not that class of restaurant but still highly recommend.

   Small and quaint. Had Grouper that was prepared Piccata style, with mashed potatoes and Green Beans. Very tasty and served hot, that's important to me. My husband had Crispy Duck, tasted good, but skin wasn't "crispy". Wine and Beer only would be the only reason for not returning.

   The food was delicious, presentation was beautiful. Portions were a good size. Restaurant was nicely decorated and very clean. A must try!

   Mussels were extraordinary! Light cream sauce with garlic and fennel. Perfectly steamed. Will go back just for the mussels, but everything else was wonderful, too.

   In Marco Island for the Easter holiday and decided on The Island Cafe for our special dinner. What a gem. Highly recommend the Caesar salad and the wedge. The warm rolls were so good we asked for a 2nd basket! And our main courses were outstanding - shrimp scampi, chicken marseille and the salmon Florentine- every dish was perfectly cooked and arrived piping hot. The big finish included a molten lava cake and the best key lime pie I’ve ever had (including mine!). Make sure you add this restaurant to your list when in Marco Island!

   We did not have a good experience at The Island Cafe. We were seated at a terrible table, my grouper was dried out and actually tough. My husband asked to substitute pasta for the potato, which was the starch of the day, and that’s just what he got. Moderately warm pasta with nothing on it. The vegetables were good Service was rushed. We were disappointed because we’d heard good things about The Island Cafe

   Food is marginal in their attempt to be French. Service leaves a lot to be desired unfortunately.

   We had a lovely time. We arrived in the midst of a nasty storm and found the restaurant to be cozy shelter. We were greeted politely and with friendliness like it was our 50th time there even though it was our first. Nothing on the menu jumped out at me as spectacular, so I just tried a local dish - a triple tail which was the fish of the day - prepared the de Marco way which was with mushrooms, shallots, garlic, and olive oil. My husband got the giant prawns. We didn’t expect it to be award-winning, as we were more there for our one kid-free night out. Boy, were we surprised! The triple tail was AMAZING! The prawns were tasty and someone at your table must order. Hopefully, you’ll be lucky enough to get triple tail as well. The key lime pie for dessert was the best I’ve had in Florida to date. Go to this place right away! It’s well worth it. Ask for Jennifer as your server and tell Karen - her ‘friends’ from Rehoboth Beach, DE recommended it!

    Ladies who greeted us were lovely - service was good. Food was great. Two of us had grouped with crab - delicious. Our daughters had chicken francaise - very well prepared and the were able to accommodate my youngest who has celiac. Everything was very flavorful! This isn’t our first time and it won’t be our last - would love to see a little more variety in the appetizer area but small wish for an otherwise fantastic place!
