   We were really disappointed by the service -the drinks took so long to come that the food arrived first. When the drinks finally came, the soft drinks (flat Diet Coke from syrup not a bottle) didn’t come with any ice and then took ages to get. Had to ask twice for water for the table which also took forever. Despite it being Sunday lunch time, the ambiance was of a ‘local boozer’ and there was a drunk man shouting and kicking over a stool. The food was very average, with horseradish watered down. Table service was a joke, two plates got cleared then a third one much later on and one person was just forgotten about. No friendly service just mayhem! Will not return!

   Cozy mixture of local pub and gastro. The espresso Martinis are exceptional!

   Looked great on the website so booked a table thinking it might be necessary. When arrived it was almost empty, the bar staff pretty uninterested. Suggested we might eat upstairs as it might be warmer!! Went and took a look but was empty and uninviting, I hoped the food would live up to billing, had their signature Chicken Kiev. The Kiev was ok, but only a few tired leaves and some supermarket type chips with it, disappointing.

   Thank you so much for making this evening a success - turning the music off, making sure all the dietary requirements were respected, between the dairy free and gluten free etc. The food was delicious and the staff were amazingly helpful and nice. Will be back to discover more of the menu!

   Perfect for our small department (3 people) Christmas lunch. No thing to complain about...would go again

   Visiting London from the US looking for a pub. Found the Hour Glass on Open Table and decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Food was good, got a great beer recommendation, the atmosphere was friendly and the staff very helpful and accommodating.

We are a privately owned pub, exceptional beers, wines and home made and locally sourced great quality food, meat is from local Butcher John Jago, fish from the Chelsea Green's Rex Goldsmith, wines from Haynes Hanson and Clarke (local too) and award winning beers from Harviestoun Brewery, apperitivo every day from 6 til 630 complimentary from our kitchen A "secret" space is our Living Room upstairs for a relaxed lounge or your private dining events parties
