The Guild exemplifies a new and exciting take on the finest traditions of butchery, cookery and bar-keeping. The name is inspired by guild halls from the past, which served as a meeting places and secret societies for artists and merchants. Honouring local beef, game and fowl, and utilizing traditional cooking techniques over wood and coal, The Guild chefs are preparing a fitting homage to proud Canadian carnivores.

    The perfect spot for business lunch. They offer seating in areas less busy and the size of the table is just right. I had the steak salad, it was cooked perfectly, the steak was so tender and seasoned just right. Highly recommend!

    Greta steakhouse in downtown Calgary. Food is of exceptional quality. Loved the tomahawk steak with the truffle fries and Brussels sprouts. Service was attentive and professional.

    I have really tried to be patient with the Guild for service and food. So much potential, but it always falls short. Service is VERY slow. The appetizers are minimal and the main courses at lunch are average. With the Bay closing, I am not sure what the plan is here - but the menu and the service need to change.

    We chose The Guild as it was close to arts common. Happy hour drinks and food was perfect and service really quick and super friendly and professional. Atmosphere is great and going on a Monday early was quiet but still a great vibe. Definitely will be back! Highly recommend!

    We’ve been to the guild a couple times for date nights and it’s great! Solid atmosphere, food is good and at a decent price. Overall one of our favourites

    Had a dinner out planned - catching up with an old coworker. Didn’t want the standard spot, so we tried the Guild. Very glad we did - everything was exceptional from the time we sat down. Service was some of the best I’ve had, food was exceptional, and the vibe was active enough to feel alive but still able to have a conversation. Will be back!
