The Good Reader - Pub & Kitchen is a local Crouch End family-run pub, offering fresh, seasonal, delicious food with excellent wines, batch-made cocktails and the usual suspects on draught. A la carte & kids menu all week harnessed around the Saturday brunch menu and a good old Sunday lunch. Beer garden and the best sun trap in Crouch End on offer.

We are no under 18's after 7:30pm.

We had to wait a very long time for our main course - over half an hour. One of our waiters really wasn’t very helpful. For a pub restaurant it was very expensive. We’ve been before and had a much better experience so would give it another shot

Amazing food as always. Our waitress Amber was brilliant and great fun… made us feel very special and made us laugh a lot!! Make sure you keep her Joe ;-)

It was lovely to be in the sun. We thought the food was not great value. The ragout was tasty but £20 fir quite a small dish was a pricey. I would go there again but I do feel it is a bit of a rip off. Also whilst I am.not a fan of childrens meals I think they should comsider smaller portions.

The perfect venue for a pub lunch, though I must point out that what they serve is much better than put food. Beautiful, clean and stylish yet cosy environment. Friendly, attentive staff.

Whilst booking I mentioned that it was a special occasion - my mum's 80th birthday - and requested a quiet table. So it was disappointing that no notice was taken of this request - we were sat literally on the nosiest table in the restaurant, in the middle of the echoing space at the back. It also would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the special occasion, but nothing. Food was good.

We loved our lunch at The Good Reader.. such attentive staff, fab food and a good drinks list including margaritas. Gorgeous outdoor seating area and generally very chilled energy, we love this pub and all those who work there!
