The Good Reader - Pub & Kitchen is a local Crouch End family-run pub, offering fresh, seasonal, delicious food with excellent wines, batch-made cocktails and the usual suspects on draught. A la carte & kids menu all week harnessed around the Saturday brunch menu and a good old Sunday lunch. Beer garden and the best sun trap in Crouch End on offer.

We are no under 18's after 7:30pm.

Wonderful roast dinner and great service. We will definitely come back and try the food mid week too.

Whilst booking I mentioned that it was a special occasion - my mum's 80th birthday - and requested a quiet table. So it was disappointing that no notice was taken of this request - we were sat literally on the nosiest table in the restaurant, in the middle of the echoing space at the back. It also would have been nice for someone to acknowledge the special occasion, but nothing. Food was good.

We loved our lunch at The Good Reader.. such attentive staff, fab food and a good drinks list including margaritas. Gorgeous outdoor seating area and generally very chilled energy, we love this pub and all those who work there!

Lovely pub. Great food and wine. Superb ambience. Friendly service. Run by a fantastic yoga teacher and her husband.

Another great Sunday at The Good Reader. Whole family there this time - the mussels were so good my kid drank the jus with a straw. Such a lovely place.

Great food, great service. Quite noisy and it seemed there was an entire creche at dinner. maybe some background music would help.

It was a very busy night and they were quite understaffed. Our big dinning room had a nice young girl and she was overwhelmed. Our food was ok but obviously been sat around for a while so a bit in the cool side and lost their appeal somewhat. I bought our drink at the bar to speed things up. I paid £60 for a bottle of not very cold Chablis and the barman gave me two warm wine glasses. I found that very annoying but didn’t say anything. The bar staff were all very busy.
