Welcome to the Gipsy Queen one of London’s last remaining independently-run pubs. Our North London owners Marc, Lucy and Ben… not forgetting Mumford and Freda the dogs, are all on a mission to maintain the heritage of this charming local landmark for the whole local community to enjoy.

We are a traditional pub with a modern flavour. Inside we have real ale, real music and the most gorgeous of real fires. Our secret (ssshhh!), deceptively large outdoor space at the back of the pub transports you to Havana with a multitude of colour and vibrancy. We are based in Kentish Town, a stone’s throw away from the foot of Hampstead Heath, and a short walk to Belsize Park, Chalk Farm and Camden Town.

One of my favourite pubs in London. The Mexican food is class & the atmosphere is always great. The staff are extremely welcoming. Highly recommend.

Lovely pub. Our first visit with a couple of friends. Quite noisy on our occasion, but it was a night Friday and there was a singer with a guitar / amp, so otherwise I think the ambience / noise level would be of a regular pub. Food was really good, we ate mainly tacos, quesadilla, chips. Authentic Mexican, tasting with great accompaniments and skillfully prepared. Pricing was probably right for the quality (£7-£7.50 for two), but as with any small bites type of food, it's quality over quantity. So if you're a hungry, maybe go for a burrito + sides. All staff, bar and food serving were chilled whilst still being friendly and helpful. Would definitely return, maybe quiz night of when they have a Mexican offers eve on. Wish we had a local like this!

Lovely sitting outside if you can. Inside the ambiance is different because of the screens showing sports, but still nice and not noisy. Sunday lunch very tasty

The perfect Sunday roast, bar the fact that the Yorkshire was a little hard for my liking. Great staff, good selection of beers and a lovely beer garden too.
