The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea.

The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!

Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to.

Alongside our a la carte menu we have a bar snack menu that not only runs all day, everyday but also contains such pub classics. Roasts run all day on a Sunday and we guarantee to make sure you will always have ample spuds, gravy and yorkies!

Another visit and another great dinner. Business this time. Quietish Wednesday evening but still a nice buzz. Food excellent as ever, highly recommend the sea bream...service could have been a tad more attentive, we had to ask to have our order taken having been there for a bit.

Food is always great here, we booked so we wouldn’t be disappointed and we definitely weren’t. It was a Sunday but neither of us were up for a roast so we had the sea bream and a steak, both excellent.

First time to Fox and Pheasant. We are from NY. Wonderful food, staff and drinks. Sat outside in the back. Had the Sunday roast beef dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert. All were excellent. Fun place to dine. Easy to get to by public transportation.

The food was absolutely lovely, especially the bar snacks! The service was exceptional, couldn't have been better. Welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The vibe of the dining space is beautifully light and airy and the pub to the front cool and cosy.

Very small dining area at back, quite a tight fit. The food is fabulous but a little expensive. The staff are not attentive. We asked for another jug of water a number of times and it didnt arrive. Also asked to take meat scraps home for my dog and they forgot.

Sirloin Steak was tough and whole meal for 4 mains only with wine was more than £250!
