It’s a cool place and the food is pretty good, just overpriced for what you get.
Meal was excellent
Great food great service! Take your family here very fun atmosphere. The buffalo tips are amazing ad love the bean dip.
Great food and service combined with a charming and unique atmosphere.
Wonderful food so long as your willing to pay for it, worth the money though
Love this place but, you need to ask to be sat by the windows or maybe the fire place. We got to sit right next to the server area so it was very load and distracting. There was a lot of open 2 and 4 tops in the seating area just below us. A family of 4 in front of the fire place would be hard to beat for atmosphere. food was great, service was good not great.
great food and service, definitely will recommend and will come back
Our first visit.
Excellent meal with excellent service Thanks Eric
Love the step back in history also.
We've been to The Fort on several special occassions. The food and service are always wonderful!
Go for the unique food varieties, not the quality. Food was not cooked that well, but the experice was great. Overpriced for what it is, but not many places you can experience the varieties available. Was a one time deal for us. Glad we went, but won't go again.
The service was excellent. The food was very good overall, although I thought it was overpriced. My son ordered the salmon and did not like it at all, and he orders salmon almost every time it is a on a menu. Whatever the "green stuff" was that was all over it, he did not like it. He said "this really is not very good salmon, ESPECIALLY for $42"
Very interesting place. Unusual menu. Staff very well trained and attentive. Prices are high, but still a fun night for visitors to Denver area.
Food was generally delicious and service attentive without being intrusive. Potato dish was salty but that was the only negative.
Never had a bad meal at the Fort.
Great menu choices served by a perfect staff. So polite and professional and attended to all of our need. Wild game is a big part of their menu. I had bison prime rib my wife had salmon and both were very good. It’s best to make reservations as weekends are busy. It’s not a cheap meal but it’s worth it to dine for special occasions. The view is amazing and you will forget you are so close to the city.
I have eaten at the Fort before and was so excited to share the food experience with my wife and our son for his 30th birthday. The buffalo prime rib had absolutely no flavor. My son looked at me and asked how much I was paying for this. My wife's steak was fine. I really don't consider granola over apples as being cobbler. We won't be back
I should not judge this restaurant, I’m not a fan of wild game and it was Friday of lent so I had Salmon which I’m sure they are not known for and I would NOT recommend it, service was great and the ambiance was pretty cool bring mountain rustic
This was my second visit, the previous being about 16 years ago.
The food is consistently delicious and unique although I found the portions to be almost too generous for me to taste all of our appetizers, and finish my meal.
The service was extremely good, and they happily boxed our many leftovers that have provided us with reminders of our most pleasant experience all weekend long !
We won’t wait so long to return next time !!
$15 for child's Mac and Cheese? Really??
For the price for two adults, it came out to $200 and the portion size was quite small. Were seated right next to the door and froze the whole time. Meat was okay but would not recommend for people to come for the price and value.
My favorite place in the Denver area!
Nice dinner out on a cold winter's night. Get the table by one of the fireplaces if you can for extra ambience. Good restaurant week meal for $35.00. Nice evening and food was very good. Just wish the mixed vegetables had a little less cauliflower.
Quayle was over marinated Too Strong The Buffalo steak was great
The FORT is a very unique & charming restaurant. The food & service was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone.
The food was great. We had a great server and attentive staff. Have the bone marrow it was outstanding. The prickly pear margarita TO DIE FOR. Only downside ridiculously expensive. Beers were $9 for 90 shilling. Lots of addons. For 2 people over $200 (and one of us got the Denver Restaurant Week meal). May go back but the cost is outrageous.
Waitstaff and food was great appearance and presentation was awesome. Tables etc could be updated (worn out chairs, tables, bathroom).
We always love it here. The best of Colorado. The best place to bring out of town guests. Romantic, warm, fun, unusual. We went on a snowy night and sat by a fire -- perfect.
Everything was above and beyond expectations. I'm sure the experience would be even more exceptional during the warmer seasons considering the seasonal on-site activities. Thank you Kevin & Evan for making this non-Leap Day birthday just as memorable as a real Leap Day birthday!
We ordered off of the restaurant week menu and I think that was a bad decision, I think they pump those out too fast. The protein, a bison steak and quail was very good quality but under seasoned. The vegetables were over seasoned, too salty for me. The dessert, a chocolate mousse was delicious to me but too bitter for my husband.
Good quality food but prepared too fast and not enough care put into each dish.
As always...we had a great time at the Fort. Great food, service and a great setting!!
I enjoyed the experience, the food was exactly what I expected. I will return for special occasions!
We had a wonderful time and Kevin made the experience a perfect evening out.
We went for 5280 Restaurant Week an ordered off of the 5280 menu however where charged all regular prices and our total bill was over $200; that was not expected. The service was superb and most of the food was delicious. Unfortunately I don't feel that the food was key to be that amount of money.
Great place. But if you like a steak without too much spice, be sure to ask that spices be left off the steak.
The Fort always serves an excellent meal and provides excellent service. However, when I mentioned the email deal that was supposed to provide a $5 margarita or glass of wine and a $20 Whagbucks coupon, nothing was delivered. I didn't think I should have needed to bring it up again to receive the bonus. Perhaps the server wasn't aware of the deal so it's probably on the management team that didn't properly communicate for them to listen for that type of information. I will certainly return to the Fort and certainly recommend the Fort to others but I just don't feel right having to ask more than once for the bonus' advertised. For clarity, the dinner and service was excellent as always so don't let my disappointment regarding the bonus change you mind about dining at the Fort. You won't be sorry you did!
The ambiance was great! However, some of the food was not that great.
Great as always! Celebrating our 10th anniversary in the place where we celebrated back then, and food as good as ever.
Hailey and Ian are the best!!! Great service and smiles. All of the staff were helpful with my wife’s physical challenges. Great evening!!!
What most pleases me at the Fort is that if you ask for your meat "well done" you actually get it your way. Not only is it fixed my way it remains moist and flavorful. I eat very little meat so when I do I appreciate having it to my liking. The staff is delightful and very concerned about providing you with a superb dining experience.
Would strongly recommend The Fort on a night during which you could go outside. Was great service and good meal with lackluster ambiance.
