The dining element of our business is extremely important to us, here at The Foresters. The emphasis is on the quality of our ingredients, the professional preparation of the food and the exceptionally well-executed dishes. We have a fantastic relationship with the very best local suppliers ensuring that the produce we use is not only of the highest quality but is direct and fresh from the market, free range and from a sustainable source.

We have tried to keep our menu simple. Our main aim is to provide modern British dishes, whilst retaining those pub classics that are tried and tested favourites. We change our menu every 6 weeks to maintain interest and so that we can ensure that we are providing you with the finest and freshest food possible. This is supported by our seasonal weekly specials, keeping what we offer you interesting and varied.

It is with regret but unfortunately we are unable to accept pushchairs or buggies.

Very good food. They said in their literature that they focused on the quality of the ingredients and the cooking and they actually meant it! A little out of the way but only a brisk walk from the centre of Kingston upon Thames. If you are coming from London it’s only a short train ride and the nearest station is Kingston Wick. Worth a try. Dr John

Delighted to get a table. After a gin cruise, finishing at Kingston bridge, we were starving. Good welcome, as always. Fish was delicate and packed with flavour. We love this cwtchy little pub.

Amazing burger worth to kill for! Unfortunately service was horrible, we were table of 2 there were just one more table of 2 as well in a whole dining site of the pub. Non the less after finishing our meal we waited around 15min for someone to take our plates, when we go help ourselves with dessert menu then we finally get attention of the waitress. It was obvious one of our waitresses was during the training so that I can understand but lack of any attention from other girl it’s disappointing. Wishing good luck to new girl and hope someone else will train her how to provide decent service.

Enjoyed the Sunday roast here, very good quality food and quick as a flash too! Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Perhaps a tad too attentive maybe. We were a late sitting (15.00) and one could tell slightly the meat (pork belly) had been not just out the oven, but it was still delicious. Cauli cheese side wasn’t hot either, tho it didn’t really matter. Hence why not giving 5* for all. I’d definitely go back and recommend.

The waitress (french) found it difficult to understand us and struggled to explain the dishes which were unavailable- which were considerable (strange as it was 7.15pm on Saturday). The service was incredibly slow and I had to go to the bar to order more drinks. The staff all seemed very young and were having fun behind the bar, chatting. I had Catch of the day which was really salty. This is the third time I've been here and it's put me off. I very rarely have such a negative experience.
