The Five Fields Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I went to The Five Fields to celebrate her 30th birthday and we had a really special evening. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and were well looked after by the friendly and knowledgeable staff throughout.
The variety and combination of flavours and textures was fantastic, and was taken to the the next level by some insightful wine pairings. Look out for the Austrian Zweigelt paired with foie gras and delightful artichoke starter served three ways.
Lovely place for a dinner with someone special. We enjoyed the creativity coming from the kitchen, the impeccable service, and the unusual but superb wine which was recommended by the sommelier. Sorry low-carb dieters but the bread selection will be your downfall.
tHIS IS OUR FIRST VISIT TO THIS RESTAURANT & IT CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE OUR LAST..
PERFECTION IS THE WORD i WOULD USE FOR THIS REVUE.
FOOD OUTSTANDING, SERVICE AMAZING, ATTENTION TO DETAIL SECOND TO NONE...
I AM A VERY FUSSY EATER, BUT WITH PRIOR NOTICE THEY PRODUCED THE BEST TASTING MEAL WE HAVE EVER EATEN...
OUR ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT IS THAT IT DOESNT OPEN ON A SATURDAY EVENING...BUT WE WILL BE BACK....SOON....
It has been quite a while since we have been to the Five Fields Restaurant. But finally we managed to be in London and enjoy the wonderful tasting menu. Again it was an outstanding evening. The service was excellent as always and the chefs gave its best. We had a wonderful table. We hope to come again soon.
The Five Fields delivers beautiful looking and tasting food worthy of it's Michelin Star. It has a good wine list to suit all tastes and price ranges. Unfortunately, I found the service quite intrusive and we had the tasting menu and everything was brought out too quickly and with much theatre......The food is wonderful and the tastes exciting and pleasing however, I was served the smallest glass of pink champagne I have ever had at £ 20 ?!! Very disappointed by this. The restaurant is small and tables well spread out but I found it a bit claustrophobic after a while. In summary, the food was excellent and staff friendly but a little too staid for my liking
There was nothing about this place that didn't meet my full expectations. I went with my wife and had the tasting menu but chose our own wine (as we're not too keen on Chardonnay or dessert wines). The food was superb, the service impeccable. Small but lovely dining rooms, with couples sitting alongside rather than facing each other.
Can’t fault this place at all. Everything you’d want from a fine dining experience. Lovely staff who worked extremely hard all evening, but somehow made the very high level of service appear effortless in unobtrusive. Great pairings with wine and all the food was exquisite. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.
This is now our favourite restaurant in London. All of the elements that go to make up the perfect dining experience are to be found at Five Fields; the food is both innovative and beautifully presented, the staff are friendly and efficient without being overly effusive. The ambience is intimate and you can hear one another without hearing the conversations on other tables. Wine prices are on the steep side. The food is good value for money considering the quality.
Outstanding food, impeccable service, lovely room. It's expensive, but worth every penny and calorie! Food was inventive and beautifully presented. Every mouthful was savoured. Would go back in a heartbeat. The only downside is that it's a very small room and it's very difficult to get a reservation!
Although we knew that the restaurant had a great reputation, we weren't prepared for the sheer diversity of flavours - the menu under-describes the choices, which, when set before you, provide an array of ingredients, tastes and combinations. The wine list was extensive (don't overlook the Hungarian red!) and honestly this is one of the top ten restaurants I've ever been to.
