The Ferguson House was originally built in 1873 as a boarding house. Allie Ferguson hosted many artists and visitors over the years. Since then The Ferguson House has been many things - an antique shop, a retail shop, apartments, and now a bistro and bar. We are taking this former boarding house to the next level by offering creative cuisine in a beautiful setting with fantastic service and creativity. We hope you enjoy your visit and visit us often.

    Food used to be excellent but new menu is not. Shrimp cocktail was too expensive for 5 medium tasteless shrimp. Green goddess sauce does not go well with shrimp. Prefer Romaine to greens. Wine is good though although pricey.

    A bit pricey, but then again, the food was excellent, portions more than expected and the service fantastic. We were in a hurry to catch a concert nearby, but noticed the outdoor dining and the beer garden (with great acoustic duo for entertainment) would be a wonderful way to unwind in the evening. Will definitely return!

    Great location in downtown Nashville amidst plenty of shops. Wonderful food and great service! Cowboy caviar was delicious - just wish there had been more of it. Vegan succotash was beautifully plated and amazing! The Fergie was delicious, too! Very friendly and attentive service - and great seating on patio! Drink menu had a lot to offer - Cucumber Mint Spritzer was strong but refreshing and tasty!

    Seemed extra busy so service was a bit slow. Food was outstanding and the patio area is a great place to eat and enjoy the great weather.

    At 6:30 2 of the 4 entries were out including the steak which put a damper on the meal, but everything else was a perfect score.

    Sadly not impressed. The steak was thin, my rice was a paste, and the drinks were poorly mixed and too sweet. We really wanted to like it.

    We were not able to dine outside as we requested because the outside dining space was previously reserved for a special party. No problem! We ate indoors instead and very much enjoyed the soup of the day and a large salad. The waiter was attentive and very friendly! The food had been wonderful each time we visit! Of course, we will be back!

    We made a dinner reservation for 4 people at 6:30, we drove 30 minutes from our cabin to the restaurant, we arrived at 6:25 and found the place CLOSED. We tried calling and only got a voicemail. Very disappointed!

    Server and staff excellent as always! Loved the Salmon and salads use "real" romaine lettuce! We locals love going there!!!

    We purposely chose this restaurant because they had a good vegan dish. We got there at 5:30 and they didn’t have that vegan dish. Also, the Internet was out we had to pay cash. There are a lot better restaurants in Nashville Indiana.

    Our food was good but I would have epected the prices to be lower. Seemed like it was typical of what we could find elsewhere in Nashville but just a tad more pricey. We will continue to go there but it will not be a "regular" spot for us due to the cost. They do salmon dishes very nicely and the crab stuffed portabella was great. Desserts were good. However, there was nothing unique or different with the burger to justify the extra cost. The waitress and her trainee were just wonderful! The food was served quickly, was hot and was attractively displayed. It's a neat old building and we enjoy that aspect. We appreciate the work that went into turning the building into a restaurant wuth a nice outdoor dining space. And I know the owners are generous to the communiuty and that is appreciated. Just wish the food was either more unique or priced just a few dollars less on some items.

    We made reservations here for Mother’s Day, because it’s my favorite place! The servers are delightful, & the chef is next level amazing! Beautiful setting. Homemade food, obviously made with love. Thank you, FH! Veggie friendly!!

    We went on Mother's Day and enjoyed eating outside. I had the salmon salad. It was delicious! My daughter had the lamb gyro, it was good. I enjoyed the potato salad after adding a little salt and pepper, that way you can add it to your liking. The spinach artichoke dip was yummy. Our waitress Jocelyn was a gem! She even took some pictures of us. I will return.

    I would not recommend this restaurant. My salad came out then no more than a minute later my entree arrived. I had the choice to have my entree get cold while I eat my salad or just eat my entree then take my salad to go. Our waitress was great but the manager never came by our table and checked on us. There was a large table of local residents behind us and she visited them 4 times during our stay. I ordered the salmon special. It was very undercooked. Salmon is not supposed to be raw after it is cooked. There are plenty of options in Nashville so this restaurant should be easy to avoid.

    There were 5 of us and we all had sandwiches all seemed to like their food. I asked about what beer was on tap, and the waitress clicked a button and gave me a register receipt with the list.

    Night started with an old fashioned made with crushed ice…who does that?! My friend and I each ordered entrees with salads as sides. Her salad came pre-dinner, mine came with dinner….both of our meals were completely devoid of flavor. Her salmon only tastes of salt and I got melt that had zero flavor and an extra hair to spare. Never again. Will not return. No redeeming qualities to justify a comeback.

    The service was great. The food was ok. I got the portobello sandwich with citrus jasmine rice. The sandwich was good but the rice was mushy. The cashew and leek dip was excellent. Also the tarragon pasta was bland. My beer tasted as if the line hadn’t been flushed all the way. The beer garden is awesome though. I will definitely be coming back.

    The dinner I had was outstanding! My husband and I shared a 10oz ribeye, baked potato, salad, and bison vegetable soup! Everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!

    Good service and delicious cocktails. My dinner salad was huge and tasty, and we both loved our cocktails. My date, a meat and potatoes guy, couldn’t find anything on the menu to suit him, so he just had a salad.

    We visited before a concert at the Brown Co Music Center. They provide 15% off with tickets. We love this place! It’s homemade food that’s ridiculously good! That potato salad? Omg. Divine. And the super cool chef created a special veggiesaurus meal for me! Highly recommend!

    I remember the Ferguson House as a child and wanted to visit and have dinner.It was a wonderful meal great service and staff.We had the cornish game hen with green beans and roasted red potatoes.I felt at 20.00 dollars it was a bargin for the meal and the amount of food given.

    We ate here on a Wednesday and got there right when they opened at 11:30am. We ate at a small table in the bar area and because it was early in the day it was very quiet. The food was great! I had the bison burger with potato salad and my husband had the Reuben with the soup of the day. Would have liked to have had french fries but they were not on the menu. Their iced tea was also good in that it was not too strong. We will definitely visit again.
