   When you walk in there is a piano player to start the evening....you are surrounded by some of the most gorgeous antiques that you can look at, sit on or buy. The food and service are 5 star and the ambiance is the best in Denver. Chris, our server was amazing!!!!!!

   There were four of us, both ladies celebrating their birthdays, and we get together each year to celebrate and catch up. The pianist, while quite good, was so loud that we shouted through our entire visit. The food was mediocre, the server was fine. We did ask about the level of the sound and were offered to move upstairs (above the piano) for dessert if we wanted. It would have been nice to sit somewhere a bit away from the piano or for the music to be more ambient, softer. Also, disappointing, that absolutely nothing was offered for the birthdays even when we reminded the staff. No one did or said anything. With so many options in the Denver metro area, we thought this would be special and it was just tiring. So very disappointed.

   Made reservations for Saturday night. After we ordered, the waiter tells us they're completely out of chicken. Change my order to the Steak Portabello, only to receive Eggplant. When I inquire, I'm told the term "steak" comes from the thick cut of the piece of eggplant.

   The ambiance in this place is great, especially the live music which is wonderful! Sadly the service and food are simply terrible. This was our second try here. The first time the service was bad and food took forever. The second the service was awful and we walked out after waiting 2 and a half hours after ordering!!! Spend your time and money elsewhere.

   After 90 minutes with no food being served, we spoke with the manager. He said they were having a "situation" in the kitchen. He comped our wine and we left. The piano was so loud, we had a hard time hearing each other. Rather ratty atmosphere.

   This place has SO much potential. I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but too many things did not go well. We had a reservation at 7:30 and did not get seated until almost 8:30. The host asked at about 7:45 if we were eating dinner or if it was just drinks. If just drinks, he was going to have us stay in the waiting area. Seemed a little strange. There were four of us there for dinner and dinner at that small table was not a option. Thinking back, he should have commended or we should have thought to order an appetizer during our wait. When we were seated, the host said he would buy our next round of drinks. Something we appreciated for the wait. The next problem came when ordering. They ran out of half of their appetizers, includig the apps we wanted to order. We ordered others and they were good. Then we tried to order dinner and they were out of about half of the entrees, specifically the ones we wanted. In the end, two of us had a bison " flankwich". One salad with steak on it and one stew. None of the food was so amazing I would come back. I would come back because the ambiance so cool and music was really good. And I would like to try the food they ran out of. Our waiter did the best he could do in the situation. He had a great personality and genuinely cared. He cannot control the wait or that they ran out of food. It was the Saturday before Valentine's Day. The wait could easily have been from a busy weekend, but a restaurant should be prepared to have enough food to make it to 9/10 PM. Unfortunately, to go back I will probably have to find some friends to go with. My husband would probably not give it another chance.

   We arrived for our reservation and got seated at a bar table, not a regular dining table. They were out of the Calamari appetizer. We were informed that they were out of 3 of the entres. We place our order and waited 30 minutes and were then informed that they were out of the entre my wife ordered. We left without eating. I'm not a fan of Colorado wines and that's all they offer. We won't be going back.

   Entertainment was good but kitchen had a bad night. Took over an hour to get our food. It was barely lukewarm. Salads were nothing like the menu description.

   We really looked forward to this dinner having purchased a Travelzoo coupon. For one, the location should be updated to not reflect it being in Wash Park. It is located on Broadway in the antique district which I've never related to being in Wash Park. We went on a Friday evening at 5pm in order to make a movie afterward. They have a great HH which is BOGO and at first we were intrigued by the eclectic concoctions. As we meandered through the menu we continued to be happy with the choices. Then the 'personality of a pea' waiter showed up and started to proceed going through the list of items that were not available, which just so happened to be everything we were hoping for. (Don't get me wrong, the waiter was a nice guy, and not rude, he just had one of the most bland personalities I've encountered for someone in his profession.) My friend, having set her mind of the lobster Mac and both of us wanting the shrimp appetizer which was no go, settled on the French onion soup. I went with the beef short ribs and the tomato basil soup. The drinks were good and I overall enjoyed the taste of basil soup except it was the consistency of pudding and the short ribs were nothing what I would expect from a braised and marinated short rib. Short ribs should be tender and fall apart when your fork touches them. I had to use a knife to cut these and they were grissly. I also experienced gastro discomfort the following day that I'm relating to my meal that night. Just so disappointed in this experience because it's a great little spot off Broadway and the decor is so cool and inviting. Would be willing to try again for HH and we've heard the brunch is really good, but I would not recommend dinner again. And if you do go, call ahead and make sure the chef got his ingredients for the night, otherwise there won't be anything left to choose from on the menu....

    The menu had nice options but they were out of almost everything we wanted to order. They force the band to set up in a weird spot, under the staircase in the middle of the room. A very awkward arrangement that made it hard to hear and see the musicians. It's a lovely pub with interesting decor.
