   Hidden Gems in St John’s Wood ! The Clifton is a 9/10! The food ! The service! The vibe ( chilled ) a must go to for Sunday roast. (Only problem is you can’t order a children’s chicken roast dinner)

   It’s a lovely drop in pub with great food. It can get very noisy in the eating area with large groups present and so isn’t the quiet, relaxing evening that you may otherwise want to have.

   Clifton is our neighbourhood gastro pub with an absolutely high menu standard. We love the food and the atmosphere.

   “A Perfect Sunday Roast at The Clifton Pub” Had an incredible Sunday roast at The Clifton Pub! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy yet lively vibe—perfect for a relaxed weekend meal. The roast itself was absolutely spot on. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection, with rich flavors that paired beautifully with the homemade gravy. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, just how they should be. The Yorkshire pudding was light and airy, and the seasonal vegetables were fresh and well-seasoned. Everything was served piping hot and with generous portions. The service was excellent—friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed without feeling rushed. A great selection of drinks as well, making it an ideal spot for a long, leisurely Sunday lunch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-quality roast in a classic pub setting. Will definitely be back!

   We spent an enjoyable evening at Clifton NW8 last week. The service was good as well as the food. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you, Jansen and rest of the staff.

   It was great to see Clifton buzzing when we came over for a late meal om Sunday - service was excellent but the food needs a bit of improvement to for example justify the most expensive item on the menu - 25 quid for a small piece of plaice that was a bit too oily but fish and chips were decent and cauliflower special was actually pretty solid so the chef clearly knows how to make good food. All in all - great to see our local pub being on the right track. And - the service was great even though you could tell that all the staff were exhausted when we came at 4pm. Thank you!
