Underwhelming and over-priced... We came out to dinner to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Our server told us about their special that was supporting the Great Plates of Downtown for the Larimer County Food Bank. We understood the special to be a 2 for $25 — needless to say, there was a bit of sticker shock when the check arrived and it was $25/person for a chicken fried steak! The steak wasn’t bad but it is far from the any of the good chicken fried steaks I’ve had in numerous places that all went for much less than $25. We were excited to celebrate tonight and walked out of the restaurant feeling dissatisfied.
My husband and I had a lovely here on Sunday afternoon. He ordered the egg breakfast and I had the chicken pot pie. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was great too.
We LOVE going to Ginger and Baker! The food is fresh, and delicious, and the pie is the BEST we've ever had. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere warm and inviting....We feel like we're on vacation when we are there!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! So many options!
It was amazing - start to finish.
Best chicken pot pie and pie in town!
The food is amazing and the ambiance is incredible! What a great restaurant! My new favorite!
Great food, friendly server, good ambiance. I was very impressed overall.
Had a great time as always at Ginger and Baker. Chris, our server, was very helpful and attentive and the rosé mimosa made for a great twist in a classic for brunch.
Had great service- Kristof was a great waiter.
First time here and it was delicious. Great staff, beautiful building. The only surprise was the price of the special, which was double the other entrees we ordered. We should have asked or been told, but the evening was wonderful.
Food and drinks were okay. I ordered the surf and turf and it was very fishy and rubbery.
Ginger and Baker has it all! Many options for dining (another room opening up in April), a learning kitchen, beautiful wine cellar room, outside (heaters) and rooftop dining with a view (warmer weather) and.of course great entrees, desserts, cocktails and wine.
We went to Ginger and Baker (the Cafe) for Valentine's Day dinner, and it was great! The dining area was spaced out and clean, so we felt very safe, but not too isolated. The special Valentine's Day menu was great. It had a nice range of selections (meat, fish, vegetarian, interesting appetizers and side dishes). The service was excellent - very attentive, but not visiting the table all the time. Another very nice night at Ginger and Baker. We look forward to trying Cache and the Rooftop when they reopen this Spring!
Beautiful space. Excellent food. Nice waiter and great service.
Valentine’s Day.
Best breakfast in Fort Collins. Its a must experience. Good value too
We did have a wonderful, long-awaited return evening at G & B. All was great except Sue's steak was slightly overcooked because she had ordered medium when she should have ordered medium-rare. My pasta dish was just a little dryer than I would have liked but was very good. It was good to see M.G. and a few other old friends. They were very kind and comped our 2 pieces of pie to compensate for the minor food concerns. We'll be back!!
Halibut was very dry and sent back. Pie was disappointing.
Our evening out was as expected at G&B- awesome. The staff was friendly, the food wonderful and the facility clean and spotless. This is our go-to restaurant as always is top quality- food and service.
We had a great valentine's lunch here. They sat us in the wine cellular in the basement, which we ended up really loving because it was darker and felt like dinner setting with candles. The decor was very rustic yet modern and the food was wonderful. We both ordered the chicken pot pie, which is even better than I can make at home. Overall it exceeded our expectations. Definitely recommend.
Our daughter flew in from North Carolina and we had not seen her for two years. Our daughter is the wife of a Special Serices military husband and really wante to be a visit to Ginger Baker while she was with us. We scheduled a lunch with nine of our family members and Ginger Baker did not dissappoint every member of our party. The only negative was the party of women next to us celebrating a birthday. It did become so load that we skipped desert and had to leave abruptly.
Our favorite place to enjoy a night out. Food is consistently wonderful as is the service. Creative menu - oh and the PIE
Valentine dinner... great service, food pot pie great flaky crust. my halibut was very dry, overcooked, I should have sent it back. It was expensive! My mistake!
Strawberry salad great, asparagus salad marginal.
The lemon merengue pie was great, nice & tart!
Great food and service.
Comfot food with a twist. Always GREAT!
Don't want to penalize restaurant with fewer stars, but in reality, experience was poor. I booked an advance reservation and drove from Denver to Fort Collins to have brunch with family only to find out that the entire restaurant was closed. Majority of town was also closed and the few restaurants that were open had crazy long waits. Turned into a very frustrating day. Disappointed with Open Table. This is the second time I've had a reservation only to find out the restaurant was closed. G&B direct website did mention closures to restart but didn't include dates.
This is our favorite breakfast place. They have a special blend tea made into an oatmilk latte. Its called the Linden Fog. So delicious with the veggie skillet! We sat on the patio with the heater and a coat. I recommend going after 10 am. Its a great experience considering we sit outside to keep us safe during covid. We appreciate them staying open and putting good practices in place.
Lovely dinner on the patio made cozy with heaters and fireplaces.
Chris, our waiter, was kind, attentive and friendly. Lee, the host, made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our meal. Happy to support a small business in this unique time especially when they take great care of their customers
It’s a must when I’m in town!
Celebrate finals being over!
Food was delicious, service outside was slow. Speed up the service, which was on our server and would have given a higher recommendation. While we stayed warm enough, dinner took 2 hours and 15 mins and can only handle so much cold.
Manger on duty was outstanding and took my wife and I on a tour of this hidden jewel. We will defiantly be back soon from Newport Beach Ca.

I love Ginger and Baker! It’s my favorite restaurant and it’s probably the best restaurant in Fort Collins. Always a wonderful experience.
Beautiful cafe and market. Our server was wonderful, food delicious and we had the best relaxing mother daughter lunch!
The quality of food at Ginger and Baker is amazing. We had the best fried chicken dinner ever and my partner had a chicken pot pie that was inspired! The pie is so worth the cost as well. Service is quiet and helpful and very fast. Love the ambience as well. Even the parking is great and that is saying a lot for Old Town Fort Collins. Check it out!
Amazing!!! Superbcocktails in a beer drinking town. Great food of course. We have made it a point to go every time we go for a birthday or anniversary. Great ambiance and service
Great food, service and ambiance! The details to the decorations is impeccable; we love going here!
So perfect. Exceptional food. Best service and ambiance.
I have eaten at Ginger and Baker on many occasions, very good every single time.
