I would have loved blue cheese olives in Bloody Mary.
New Year’s Eve dinner. We were sat next to the piano and it was a little too loud for us.
Great food. Service somewhat clumsy but not awful. Don’t be I. A hurry when you go here to eat.
We went to the cabin for New Year’s Eve. We were completely disappointed. We went to eat in the cabin for the decorations, live music etc. When we arrived, we were walked through the cabin bar, through the hotel lobby to an upstairs banquet room. When we asked the manager why we were being seated up in this banquet room he said it was because of Covid 19. We explained to him we were not notified of these seating arrangements. There were plenty of tables in the cabin dining room. When we asked to be moved he said no the seating had already been made for the evening. It was take it or get out. It was New Years Eve so we could not just leave and find another reservation last minute. We were never notified we wouldn’t be eating dinner in the cabin. This restaurant is fraudulent in taking reservations and sticking parties in banquet rooms. The food was good. The waiter had to many tables and couldn’t probably wait on us. We will not go back to this restaurant. Very disappointing.
After seeing some of the bad reviews we went without any expectations. The food was exceptional the atmosphere very nice. The bartender didn’t seem to care if he waited on you or not. Most of the wait staff didn’t seem to communicate or know what was happening for New Year’s Eve. Since we We’re staying the night, we asked about breakfast in the morning .Our waitress told us that they did not serve breakfast . That seemed very odd for a place that you spend the night in. Apparently if you bought a New Year’s Eve package you got a muffin and mimosas, but if you didn’t buy a package they gave you a muffin but you had to ask for coffee. And then if you wanted a refill you had to ask for a refill. So overall I think I give this place a three
Amazing ambience, food and service
The food was AMAZING.. baked Brie and shrimp cocktail for apps, scallops, short ribs and pasta for main course and the angel food cake for dessert.. 5 star meal.. AMAZING chef, our food was PERFECT!! The ambiance was awesome and the drinks are very well poured.. our server was AWESOME. Will 100% go back and recommend this place to everyone.. wonderful, romantic evening
Anniversary lunch. We usually try to go at least once during the holidays since the atmosphere is so magical
We were so looking forward to our Christmas Eve dinner at the Cabin. The ambiance is gorgeous. However, we were out upstairs in an empty room. We appreciate social distancing but this was sad. We asked to be moved but they said they were booked. I made the reservation November 3rd. I feel they should have reached out and told us the restaurant was full and we would be in an overflow room. Our dinner bill was $400. Not the experience we anticipated.
Beautiful on Cmas Eve but
I wish we had a better view of the outside ( I requested w/reservations ) there were lots of tables open and we drove about an hr+ in a snowstorm and kinda had the worst table in there- parking lot view. We took pics elsewhere. The menu wasn’t great for me (wanted a wood fired pizza) but my hubs said the crab cakes were the best he’s ever had😊
Pretty pricey though and dangerous ride home-if it wasn’t Cmas Day in the morning we would have loved to be snowed in there!
Great Christmas Eve drinks and appetizers mid afternoon! We had so much fun and they took such good care of us! Can’t wait to go back!
Always look forward to a meal at Mario's Cabin during Christmas time. It always looks beautiful. We love Trish!
I understand since covid 19 they needed more space to put people. I spent 200 dollars on a dinner that I was treating my husband to for his birthday. It was our first time out since we had our daughter four months prior. We were placed in a banquet room where the ambiance was not lit properly the decor was thrown together . Everyone that goes to the cabin goes because you want to sit “in the cabin” section... we weren’t even told we couldn’t sit there or why . After they lead us through a maze to find our open spaced banquet room, they sat us at what had to be the smallest table in the room, right in front of the servers station where I couldn’t scoot back or I’d probably get hit with a tray in the head. Common, I would have rather not been able to make reservations there at all for that experience. The food, amazing- the experience , just terrible atmosphere- I don’t want to go back again after that. What a shame. Just tell us there’s no room if you’re worried about covid. I would have rather spent that 200 dollars at a higher end restaurant and pay for the ambiance and lighting than be plopped into an uninviting banquet room that had poor lighting and awkward seating. Not to mention our waitress ( though she was new) was not very helpful. Didn’t offer other wine when they were out of the one I preferred, forgot to add extra food I asked for and didn’t pour our wine :(
Guess I just paid money to be out of the house for one hour. Not the experience I wanted, not happy.
They do a great job decorating this time of year with holiday theme that is charming. Brie appetizer was very good as was angel cakes dessert. My wife and I split the winter salad which was solid. Our entrees were Halibut and Scallops both were pretty average to disappointing...Risotto was undercooked with scallops and the halibut was too salty. We will go back I am sure at some point but I give it just an ok rating.
Great service. Holiday atmosphere abounds. Cozy and comfy. Great food. Will be back.
absolutely wonderful! beautifully decorated. i did not get our server’s name. she was professional, thoughtful and kind. overall, this was a special experience.
Beautifully decorated for the holiday. A must see. The food was delicious
Amazing experience! Highly recommend!
The restaurant is old school. Very clean. Service was ok. Liked how it's decorated for Christmas. Would go again.
There are not enough words to describe how amazing this place was. The ambiance was nothing short of amazing and the food was to die for. The piano player is there on Fridays and Saturdays and would recommend checking him out as he really adds to the quaint and romantic feel of the restaurant. The Christmas decorations are amazing and make you feel you like you are in Aspen.
Love the Cabin for Thanksgiving dinner. The decorations always let you know that they have put in the work to make a holiday dinner special. The food is always good and the staff are always attentive.
The Cabin never disappoints. Excellent food and warm ambiance.
Food was good, cocktails were generous, the service was exxcellent - our server Matthew was attentive not hovering
We ate outside on the patio which was beautiful with a lovely waterfall fountain feature. The food was very good. I particularly recommend the mushroom ravioli entree and the baked Brie starter.
Always an amazing experience. We all had amazing entrees and impeccable customer service. The sea bass special was one of the best I’ve ever had.
I'm sure the COVID 19 challenges have been daunting for all restaurants. The Cabin could use a facelift, however. It is showing age and could be so much nicer with a little bit of TLC. Food was good to very good, prices fair, & service was good (but the servers could use a little nicer duds as well) Willing to give another try.
Tonight we celebrated my husband's birthday dinner and our first time at the Cabin. It was truly a treat. We enjoyed the meal, our waitress was delightful and the ambiance was perfect. Thanks Mario's! We had a great experience and will definitely be back.
We sat outside and the service, food, drinks and ambiance were perfect!
Love the outdoor dining space and entertainment!!
We love sitting on the patio on a warm summer evening with the waterfall. In front of us. The food is very good. Never disappointing.
When we asked for a table outside they took us to a table far away from where others we seated. There were tables closer to the fountain but we were told they were reserved for other people.. we watched and ate as other diners came in and were "offered" the other tables closer to where we wanted to sit. That did not sit well with us. Food was mediocre at best and we didn't feel we got good value for our money. Will not recommend.
Great evening on the patio, nice to have music but it was just to loud, hard to talk and listen to our group. Love to have the music just need to tone down a little.
Beautiful patio. Menu needs updating...same menu forever.
It was nice
Everything good but music too loud
Lovely patio with waterfall, good food, maintained good social distancing and restaurant staff wore masks.
I was very impressed with their attention to Covid 19 restrictions. We were seated at least 6 feet apart and all of the staff wore masks the whole time we were there. The food was excellent, as usual!!
Food was great and so was service. Only think that I wasn't happy about was the menu being much smaller because of COVID , and the app not showing the downsized menu. Was not able to order what we usually do
we enjoyed the meal however more choises on the menu to pick from
We arrived at perfect time. The tables that came after had a very long wait time on their food. The food was outstanding. Mussels were some of the best I've ever had. Ambiance was beautiful.
