   Nice restaurant and good service but the brunch plates were so small we were tempted to order the same again! Tasty though but very small and definitely not worth the price.

   Very disappointed with our Sunday lunch (first time there, love the Sands End tho.....), we were a table of four adults. Roast Chicken extremely dry, the jus which accompanied the Chicken and Lamb shank was too sweet, sticky and therefore overpowering! The skate was of a minimal portion and wasn't great overall. Wouldn't recommend it, sorry, wish it was the opposite because the staff were great along with everything else!!

   Love the Brown Cow for its ambience and convenience. Food is pretty good but the menu could improve. If you don't like beef or fish, not really any other option. Still love it though

   Great location and great interior/ambience. BUT ... overall it was a unacceptable experience. The service was the worst i had in a long time and not worthy of a Pub of the DM Group. I had to ask for everything .. really everything .. not once a waiter attended our table to ask if we would like to order anything .. like drinks.. like dinner .. like desert .. that's just either a total disregard for the guests or simply bad or no training. There where plenty of staff around and not many guests so it was certainly not a matter of workload. Then the food: my Risotto was actually pretty good and perfect temperature when served but my son's Fish was just for the bin .. almost raw in the middle and not eatable. So 50 Pounds for bad service and bad food is not a sustainable business model for anybody.

   Lunch last Sunday, the food was good and the atmosphere busy. Unfortunately we were seated tucked away at the end of the bar and attracting the service staff wasn't easy. Our drinks looked as though they were short measured - call me old fashioned but when I have a pint of beer I expect the glass to be full! Also the wine measures were inconsistent. Adding 15% service onto the bill is cheeky.

   Excellent breakfast. Had the full English and it was without fault. The service was very friendly. Just a tad expensive but not ridiculous. Would definitely go back again.

    Good Sunday lunch (we all had the lamb shank) - lamb was really nice, everything else was fairly standard. Really nice Pinot Noir (can't remember the name) and friendly service. Good atmosphere, and they had the six nations on but without it feeling like a 'sports pub'. Will go again :)
