Signature dishes include 'The Hunter' & 'The Gatherer', which is our take on the full English breakfast. Absolutely appalling service, do not ever book a table here! We waited 45 mins for our food. Pathetic unprofessional staff especially the one with a boy cut, she needs to get her act together (probably a gen z with a can't be bothered attitude to working) she slammed our condiments on the table and didn't give us water with our meal (when we ordered) and the other one with brown hair and lips like a duck who eventually got us water and slammed them on the table. Some people need to learn manners. I don't care if you're busy. You signed the job contract when you applied. It's London not the countryside where you can stare out of the window. You are quick to whip out the card machine no matter how busy you are. Oh and one toilet for the entire restaurant and staff?! I waited 15 minutes! I demand a full refund for the awful service and no amount of apology can amend the service. My food blog will give you a zero if you're lucky.

Stood at the entrance for several minutes before the couple in front walked away, then another couple joined and eventually we all decided to walk inside and sit down. They appeared to be short staffed but no excuse to ignore customers. I did say I had booked but the server appeared disinterested and didn’t ask my name. The buns were ok but they had run out of potatoes, so a salad was substituted.

A Disappointing Lunch Experience – Would Not Recommend I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Upon arriving for my pre-booked table, I stood around for a good five minutes without so much as a greeting—despite staff being just inches away from me. No acknowledgment, no eye contact, nothing. When I was finally spoken to, it was with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. I explained I had a reservation, only to be met with a dismissive “Do you? What’s your name?”—hardly the professional or welcoming response I expected. The lack of basic customer service from the team was shocking. The only redeeming part of the visit was the barman, who was at least polite and helpful, kindly swapping our drinks when they weren’t what we expected. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. It was bland and uninspiring, the lamb bun with potato wedges that tasted cheap and straight out of a frozen bag—definitely not the quality I was hoping for. There were no satisfaction checks throughout the meal, and at no point did anyone try to upsell desserts, coffees, or anything else—a clear sign that service isn’t a priority here. When asking for the bill the card machine was brought over without even presenting the bill so we could see what was on it. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor service, and mediocre food made this a truly disappointing experience. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.

Had a lovely all day brunch at the black penny Sloan square. Food was lovely, I had a lovely coconut latte was delicious and creamy. Service from the staff was absolutely fantastic. I think this place is so cute and lovely now the weather is getting better as there are places to sit outside. However we chose to sit indoors . I went on a week day at 12.30 So was a busy time yet it still didn't seem like it was crowded.
