From the minute you walk in and Kathy greets you with that bubbly personality you know it’s going to be a great night. They lost power a few minutes before we came in. They let us sit at the bar, we got drinks and cold shrimp. The Chef came out to tell us what he could do for us at that point. Once the electric company said it was going to be awhile they called all their reservations for the night to cancel. They even had a company Christmas party of 50 they had to cancel. The staff was amazing! Kind, funny, accommodating etc. we felt bad for them and all they wanted to do was accommodate us. There were only three couples in the place because we all came in before they legally had to close the doors. We can’t say enough about how we were treated by this warm, kind staff.

Took over 20 minutes to get our first drink. 10 pc jumbo shrimp wasn’t the usual, maybe 6 small pcs, the rest were small bite size. Not the shrimp dinner I always get and expect.

We were seated right away when we came in, and the server was charming. We enjoyed the addition of dipping oil for our bread, and the fried chicken was better than I’ve ever seen it. There used to be more breading on the shrimp, but it was just perfect this time. The sweet potato was a fun addition to the meal and the asparagus was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We look forward to coming back.

💥⭐️😋🤩👏 WOW !!! The Argonne House is EXTRAORDINARY. From the Friendly greeting of Wendy and Kathy at the Reception Podium to the attentive, professional service of Rebecca, Kassie, and Danni plus the rest of the patron-focused staff, this is one of the finest restaurants in the area. The food is EXCELLENT- from steaks and fish to soups and salads. The Bar scene is good and the pour of the drinks is what is referred to as ‘Generous.’ We have already returned several times and will continue to do so. Reservations are strongly recommended. GO; you will be pleased you did!

We always know that our meal at the Argonne House will be amazing! I always get the fried shrimp. I don't know where it comes from but its delicious! We've taken friends and family and it never disappoints. We make sure to get our reservation in a few weeks in advance during summer high season, but you'll still need a reservation to be assured of a table. That's a good thing! Always busy.

Where do I start?! The menu had so many dishes that I wanted to try but could only eat so much. I had to go with the shrimp which were delicious. The sides were all equally yummy! The best was the shrimp cocktail. So good!! I can't wait to go back!

Our second recent visit to the Argonne House did not disappoint. Food was very good and the decor and layout are very nice. Similar to many restaurants in the area, they appear to suffer a bit from staffing shortages, which slowed service a bit. We were not in any hurry, however, and enjoyed our evening out.

Food is always good. Inside, the restaurant was too loud for us, so we were able to be moved to an outside table. With the heaters, it was perfect. The last few years, the restaurant is always a great experience.

Excellent shrimp and steaks. This old standard in Charlevoix never disappoints. Wait staff is busy but comes by and are friendly. I like that they take reservations.

We had a great experience at the Argonne House. The general manager, Wendy, great job, keeping the restaurant flowing. The food is as good as good as ever….best shrimp dinner around! Our waitress was extremely busy, but we never felt like she wasn’t giving us the attention we needed. The restaurant was very busy yet. We did not experience a delay in the service/food we received.
