We are locals. Downstairs was closed. While upstairs is less formal that was fine with us. Fondu was great as always(👍🏻👍🏻), plus mustard - pretzels, soup, beer battered fries(👍🏻) and Wiener Schnitzel (👍🏻👍🏻).

This is the shoulder season, so only a few others were there, which was a big plus. That said, food is always delicious!

To be honest, we dined here during slack and they were very short staffed due to COVID. The waiter tried his best, but the overall experience was just ok. Perhaps they will up their game when ski season starts.

The Alpenhof did an outstanding job with the minimum of personnel. Our waiter was outstanding, handling an entire dining room full of guests flawlessly; taking orders, delivering food, taking payment, giving information. He did it all calmly and without drama, and he got it all done. Our food amazed us. We had lovely salads, and the Jaegerschnitzel, which appeared huge on the plates, smothering the rosti and rotkohl, was very thin and tender, with a tasty wine infused mushroom sauce that was divine. The Hot Love dessert (vanilla ice cream with a hot raspberry and Chambord sauce) was delicious, and brought back fond memories. We were so impressed with how in these difficult times, the Alpenhof pulled off a beautiful evening.

I grew up eating here on very special occasions and it was always such a treat. I haven’t been in over 20 years and came for date night with my husband. Unfortunately there’s, absolutely, no more German/Austrian ambiance, tables are still social distanced which makes the place feel very cold and cafeteria-like. No music was playing and, although, our server was nice and professional, he created a feeling of hurried fast food. Maybe upstairs in the Bistro is still nice, but I wouldn’t spend precious time here.

Don’t come here if you’re thinking of lunch. We showed up for a 12:00 reservation. The restaurant was empty and we were told that they don’t do lunch. Yes, it was lunchtime and there is a lunch menu. Will not be back.

We were there for a concert with limited time. The waiter realized this and brought our food in a timely manner. He also gave us directions to the venue.

We will return for another dinner when we have time to relax and enjoy our meal.

Service was "just ok," but in fairness the host said they were understaffed that day, which is commonplace these days, after Covid issues. My husband had the "Zander " which is walleye fish & I had the Jaegerschnitzel. I'd say both were good, but not the greatest, bc my husband says the walleye was over cooked, and the schnitzel was mediocre based on versions I've had elsewhere.

Arrived in Teton Village that afternoon. Had reservations, but did not know what to expect at The Alpenhof. Eight of us. My wife, our three adult kids, and a friend with each of them. The place is very quaint and open. Tables all occupied, but not crowded or loud. Our waiter ‘V’ was welcoming and fun. We loved the Weiner Schnitzel, fondue, some French wines, and more. Relaxed and had fun. A great first night for out summer adventure.

Ordered steak med. rare but it was med. well. Staff offered to redo it but I declined since other diner already had their meal. It was very tasty though. Staff offered a free dessert which we split. It was served on one dish, no knife to cut it, no dessert plates offered. I ate my portion off of a napkin. A little disappointing since it was my birthday & we were celebrating it. I will say that the waiter & manager were very friendly & the food was (for the most part) well prepared.

We came for breakfast, and sat outside on the deck. It was the best dining experience of our whole trip. The food, the view, the ambience of the beautiful flower-boxed deck, and a lovely dog, who just made the experience perfect.

Host was rude. First question before even being seated was “are you having the fondue?” We had not seen the menu so we couldn’t answer that question. He was very brusque, said we couldn’t have fondue outside because it was windy. It was not.

Server was sweet but screwed up order. I ordered onion soup, she brought Caesar salad. It was very ordinary, packaged romaine, boxed croutons, bottled dressing. Wife and I each ordered different brats. Server gave mine to my wife, and my wife’s to me. They were ok, but very ordinary. Strike three, bill was wrong. She charged $14 for Caesar salads, which were listed on menu as $9. We let it go because she didn’t charge us for drinks. I asked for refill on iced tea which took forever. I mean really really slow.

First question from her (after host has already grilled us about the fondue) was “are you having fondue?” We laughed and said we were told by host it was too windy. She said “no it’s ok.”

So service was poor, we weren’t seated on the patio with the cute red and white check tablecloths (nobody was), just small metal bistro table overlooking tacky neon “ski sale” sign. Inside was tired, dated, kitschy. Honestly an overall sad experience.

Our flight has been cancelled and we needed dinner reservations on a night when everything was booked. This place had an opening, and now we know why. I expected more and was sorely disappointed. The server was so sweet and had a charming accent, so this review is hard to write. But in fairness to others potential diners, skip this place. There’s no other way to say it. It’s way past it’s prime, stuck in the ‘60s.

Might have been good if my burger was cooked Medium, like I asked, instead of well done. The waiter was nice, but not very outgoing. The Raclette appetizer was just ok. Pretty bland. Beer battered fries was the best part. Not sure if we'll go back. We're locals.
