   Really food Sunday roast with family at the codrington. Friendly bar with warm greet, had the beef and pork. Served by a flattering French girl, then a Spanish waiter took out dessert order. It was a perfect family day out at the Admiral Codrington

   The Admiral Codrington, an old libation place in South Kensington. Very elegant cosy atmosphere! Charming service from the bar to the main restaurant, when we got to our table it was a total meltdown. The waiter told us that there was no Sunday roast. My husband had the fish and chips which was very soggy and flat. I had the recommended burger with a tasteless burnt bun. Top of that the puddings were stale , hard and rubbish we the ordered coffees. When the waiter came with a decaf coffee which was meant to be a decaf tea. Sadly the restaurant didn’t deliver, similarly the service Was ok not good. We expected very different. The woman manageress seemed stressed and seemed she could not handle the pressure. Very disappointed, we came across minor issues, our table was not spotless clean, then tomato sauce was on the chair. These little misadventures are simply unacceptable at this level. Food tasteless, burnt on the side. The manageress can’t handle complaints to sum up, 12% service is unacceptable I can think of 5 pubs in the area for better food and service than The Admiral Codrington.... A very disappointed experience, nothing special however I must however comment that the waiter and manageress had no sense of communication . It was lack of management, we expressed our disappointment and were suggested by the woman manager that it was a bank holiday weekend. Overall the pub was lovely. Although the roof glass was filthy and leaking water, it makes you ponder how the kitchen is like. Very not hallucinations

   We booked a table for Sunday roast and when we arrived at 1:30pm we got told there is no roast left. The staff were very friendly about it but still find it a bit odd as it says on the menu that roast is guaranteed till 4pm. I was really looking forward to my family to try a traditional Sunday roast as they are not from the UK. The food looked delicious but me and my dad are gluten free and the menu wasn’t very gf friendly. I was a bit disappointed as we didn’t have a plan B so ended up walking around in rain trying to find a new lunch spot. However, I will definitely return this place as it looked very nice and we were just a bit unlucky this time.

   Our family of 5 ate here on the recommendation of a friend. The food was delicious and the staff were super nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

   Very good family meal we were greeted prompt. Seated and greeted by a young girl with a smile. Hostess with charm, was taken care by a male waiter very charming . Very knowledgeable on the menu as my sister was dairy tolerant. Service spot on! Shame that we are leaving this weekend but would’ve come for their Sunday roast as the waiter mentioned

    The atmosphere is nice, so cute and cozy. Delicious summer solstice! We all has the fish and chips and had a lovely evening. Served by two servers, girl and a guy. Would recommend to anyone.
