Had an amazing time in Tesse. Food, service and ambiance was incredible!! I would definitely come back! And if you haven’t been here, you should try bone marrow spaghetti!:)

Beautiful interior and exterior, great cocktails and dessert, mediocre food and poor service. It was my friend's birthday and we bought 3 Tipsy Post Melon cocktails each during "Sunset Hour". My friend knocked over one of her drinks and I asked the server if he can replace it; he checked with his manager and said that because it is no longer "Sunset Hour" he can not replace it and she would have to pay full price for another. We paid for an additional drink full price. So basically it would have been comped as a courtesy if she accidently knocked over her drink within the "Sunset Hour" time frame. I would not recommend Tesse for special occasions being that it is basic and over priced with poor customer service.

Apparently it now turns into a club on the weekend so that even with a reservation you have to stand in line with a roped off entrance in order to get in. It’s a ways away from the upscale dining experience pre-pandemic and lining up behind a rope to get into my meal was not the energy I was going for with my dinner. But the food was solid if overpriced. Probably will not return anytime soon.

We have been wanting to try this beautiful restaurant for over a year.
I have seen lines of people waiting to eat on busy nights, especially during DineLA. They have a Happy Hour from 5-7 pm with lots of options. We sat at the bar after we were greeted by the host and we felt welcomed even though we didn't dress up. Katya was super nice and professional and we had fun. They carry a hazy IPA and we each had a Margarita and multiple food items. Everything was fantastic!

20 to get drinks.
cocktails were good, wine was not great.
the cheese selections are classic but uninspired.
interesting ambitious charcuterie - the "tesse" in delicatesse
excellent cauliflower.
entrees were fine, but fine isn't good enough, is it?
the disappointingly basic dessert menu was like 1998, just missing NY Cheesecake.
not worth it, unless perhaps for starters, meats and cocktails.

Disappointing poor quality food. Our steak was closer to Top Sirloin than a New York. The lobster sausage tasted like over seasoned canned crab. And the bone marrow pasta had a nice flavor, but the pasta was chewy and under cooked.

The ambiance was fine. A lively contemporary dining experience. But overall a restaurant has to provide good food or else why are we there???

The food and service was great. The bar caught us by surprise, no commercial liquor brands, very disappointing. No Tito’s, Dewars… maybe the worst martini I’ve ever had. The Chablis was off the chart good!

Lovely setting for an excellent meal. Note that the restaurant adds 5% of the check for "employee health care" - how about just running your business and including everything in your pricing! Or charge nothing for food and add pro-rated P&L expenses on each bill!

Everything about our evening at Tesse was beyond expectation. There were 6 of us and we all ordered different entrees as well as 2 appetizers and 2 desserts. We pretty much did everything family style so that we all could share. There was lots of owwwing and ahhhing but we agreed in the end that the pasta dishes had a very slight edge over the meat and fish, although it really needs to be understood that ALL dishes were beyond…. The service? Spot on. VERY attentive and helpful w/out being intrusive. We all voted this restaurant one of our best experiences ever (and we are not young ;)). Thanks Tesse for one to remember.

Our first time and we sat at the bar as we are bar folks. The Rum flight was fantastic and lobster roll was perfectly done and so flavorful. Junie was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We will be back!

Tesse never disappoints! We had the pork chop, cooked to perfection and paired it with a Super Tuscan. Looking forward to my next visit soon, this hands down one of the best restaurants in LA.

Interesting menu with lots of variety. Mostly small plates, but some larger selections. We probably ordered too much so should have planned a bit better. Service was excellent. Started out pleasant, but got noisier as the meal went on, so go early if noise is an issue.

Never disappoints. Incredible oysters and caviar toast! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Steak tartare is one of the best ever. Duck fried potatoes not to be missed. Highly recommend the Branzino, the Steak, and the Pork Chop.

Decided to give this place a try for our son's 21st birthday as he was interested in trying duck and octo of which Tesse had entrees to cover that. Hostess, probably not what her title is as she was a tad more than that IMHO, wait-staff, and young lady who brought the cocktails were all extremely professional yet personable which was perfect as we do not like flat/humorless staff. We had the cheese plate, the bread and butter as well as the GF bread/butter and the GF bread was very nice. Also tried the burrata which was nice and the candied walnuts are were pretty tasty. Ordered the following entrees, chicken, duck, squid ink pasta with chorizo, bone marrow pasta, and the chicken. We enjoyed all of the entrees and t he only comment I have that I failed to mention to staff is the amount of salt in the sauce served with the chicken. I have to agree with other reviews about the amount of salt used in some of the dishes. For dessert we enjoyed the sticky pudding, the flourless chocolate cake, and the raspberry profiteroles. All desserts were tasty and a little more ice cream would have been nice. All in all we had a great time and we'd definitely recommend to others. Thank you Tesse! Oh and don't forget to stop by the wine shop there onsite at the restaurant and experience the vast selection.........
