We are staying at Paradise by Sirene in the adult tower and I made my reservation through open table because I like using the app. Our reservations was for Sat March 7th and when we checked in with the hostess Floriana 15-20 minutes prior to our reservation, She told us to come back in 10-15 minutes. The couple behind us also had an 8:30 reservation but yet they got seated before us. When I asked the hostess why were they seated before us when we have reservations at the same time and are here before them she said because they are staying at the hotel and came by early asking for earlier seating. We let her know this is poor customer service as we are guest too! We just used open table for our reservation and my husband is a lifetime Ambassador Elite member with Marriott. She didn't apologize just shrug her shoulders. This unfortunately put a damper on our evening. We had the flat bread pizza, hummus and scallops all were tasty. Our service was nothing to brag about for staying at a JW resort. I ordered a glass of wine and was saddened to find out they ran out of the Pinot Noir, I had to get a glass of something else. They probably didn't want to open another bottle since I was only having 1 glass. We will be ordering room service or going somewhere off property this evening.
We didn’t eat there. Hostess was super rude and we left. Manager on duty was awesome. Hostess just the wrong person in the wrong job.
Go for the food and the view, but be prepared for incompetent service. While the food was delicious, the service was so sub par that it almost ruined the experience. The hostess literally hid from waiting diners so that she did not have to face us and them, as all reservations were running over by at least 20 minutes. No apology or other accommodation was made to acknowledge this. We saw our server three times the entire meal. We were advised that the food would arrive "as it was ready" which meant that hot dishes arrived almost on top of each other, ensuring that no dish could be fully enjoyed. We ordered a bottle of wine, it was presented to us, and then we were left to pour for ourselves when our glasses were empty. With proper management and service, this could be an excellent restaurant, but right now, it's barely mediocre.
The menu is very limited. Had a Braised Pork dish that upset my stomach after. For a restaurant on the water I expected more seafood dishes. The restaurant is nice and the waitperson was excellent.
It’s a weird concept, have been served meals at the same time with my wife for 38 years everywhere we went, this place gets whatever meal is ready first, consequently my wife watched me eat when l got my order she got hers when l finished mine, Really, no kidding, this people are vert proud of that concept! The menu is very limited and the wine list is terrible, have always enjoyed wine bottles in the $ 80 to $100 range , good luck ! 200 and up , no California wines! Would not go back , went for pizza after that sitting!
Food was great, service very pleasant just a little slow.
An exotic and creative menu. Perfect for having cocktails and sharing appetizers. We shared a number of different things and found everything to be unique and delicious.
Terrible service for a high end restaurant. Will not have dinner here again.
Great experience, would definitely come here again!
The food here is delicious. Tasty and well prepared. However the service is not up to par, expcially for a restaurant in the new wing of a JW Marriott. Our waiter seemed to disappear after taking our drink order, despite us telling him that we were ready to order our food when he took the drink order. We had to flag down a waitress from another table to take our order after 10-15 minutes. Then the food started coming too quickly, one dish on top of the other, with no time to finish things in between. We had to ask our server to slow things down. When messy plates were cleared mid-way through the meal to be replaced with fresh plates, dropped food was left uncleaned on the table. The last round of food seemed to take forever. All in all it was a pleasant experience, as the food was the highlight. Service definitely needs to be improved - small things could make a big difference.
Mya, our server, was amazing. She went above and beyond. We were chilly. She manages to get towels for us. She was able
A chicken Caesar salad. Music very. Good.
Valentine’s Day dinner was awful
Disappointing - adult only dining, but feels like a breakfast room. Lit up brightly, poor ambiance
We felt the Valentine special dinner was average & not worth the very expensive price. We felt very rushed. The main course was brought before we finished our appetizers. We were seated outside with a great view of sunset. However, it was a lounge area which was very crowded & VERY LOUD. It was not the quiet intimate Valentine dinner we had anticipated AT ALL!! We were told the only reservation was at 5 :30 which we took reluctantly. We noted there were open tables At 6:00 &6:30.
Everything great, food ok!
While the atmosphere and view of the sunset was great, the rest of the experience was disappointing. We were not greeted when we arrived to check in for our reservation and finally a server came by and said seating outside is first come, first serve. We were able to find a table but waited for service. My husband asked about a certain type of Bourbon which seemed to stump the waiter. After 2 tries he ordered his drink. Our charcuterie platter arrived before our drinks and no one explained what was what on the board. Finally drinks show up (to be fair our waiter did tell us they were short staffed and anything but wine would take awhile) and my husband’s was wrong and mine didn’t taste very good. We decided not to continue with dinner but go elsewhere for better drinks and food.
First visit and truly enjoyed. Deco beautiful. Great good. Try the doughnuts for dessert. Amazing.
The view on the balcony is amazing! Service was good with very attentive servers. We got drinks and one app for our table as we watched the sun set. Very fun location but expensive - you are paying for the view!
The service is abysmal. Staff are unhappy and clearly do not want to be there. Food is really good though - when it arrives and if you can order it ;)
We were staying on the property for business and I was looking forward to a child free dinner, so A+ for offering a venue for adults only. The location was wonderful and the views lovely. I did not know reservations were only for inside tables and would have liked to know so that was a miss. The hostess was warm and bubbly, the server greeted us quickly and politely. The menu has a nice diverse flavor and small plates are a welcome change to the typical resort hotel menu. Portions were generous and tasty. Huge miss on deserts: lack of creativity and inspiration. Not one dairy free option. The menu embraced vegetables and was inspired, there are a number of Mediterranean inspired desserts and it would have been nice to enjoy something over coffee. Overall nice but could have been amazing.
Maybe they were having a bad day but the service was spotty and inattentive. The food was close to inedible.
Lamb ribs-just OK
octopus-rubbery as can be and served with weird flavors, olives?
cauliflower-just OK, kind of burned
chicken dish-soggy rice, chicken not good flavor
Sorry for the bad review but we are not to picky and this was the worst meal we have been served in a long time
OpenTable is not the greatest for reviews on a mobile device.
Tesoro was wonderful and delicious and I enjoyed every minute of being there. It’s very upscale to what I’m used to so it was a nice treat to dine at a phenomenal restaurant. The outdoor dining was my favorite and we were able to hear the concert on the beach rather than the trance music inside. Food and drinks were amazing. I’ll definitely recommend this place to everyone who likes seafood and Italian cuisine
Great service and an amazing food. We had such a great time. Thank you
It was my second experience at Tesoro and both were great! We sat outside the first time and had an incredible server and then the second time sat inside and had another wonderful server. Our food was delicious and perfect for sharing with a group. Will definitely come back again!!
We dined once before at Tesoro, last year ,and loved it. The setting is unbeatable and the food quality was outstanding for Marco Island. On this visit, the oysters did not seem as fresh as we’d remembered and the black garlic appetizer seemed lacking a bit of the wonderful seasoning we enjoyed last year. Octopus is still very good.
Expensive, but the setting is worth the price and the service is always very good. The ladies tending bar outdoors really know their stuff.
Mediterranean food was excellent! Service outstanding. View for sunset spectacular! Thanks for the forever memories!
Lovely sunset drinks and small plates overlooking the gulf. All plates were wonderful. Moved indoors when the temps cooled outside. Lovely place to mingle.
The hummus and the flatbread options were amazing. So fresh and flavorful. You must order the donuts for dessert with the dipping caramel sauce. Oh so decadent but delicious!!
Beautiful restaurant with stunning views, however the menu was extremely limited. We ordered oysters that we did not end up finishing based off of the quality, as well as the sticky ribs which had good flavor but very greasy. The server was frustrated the entire time with everything going on, despite that it was not a peak time and business was slow as we chose a late dining time.
We chose to only have the 2 appetizers and a glass of wine before we decided to leave and find something else to eat.
It was disappointing to have such a beautiful restaurant with such poor quality service and food.
First visit to the hotel and restaurant - Spectacular sunset view. Food was delicious and good service; will definitely return!
The JW in JW Marriott's Tesoro must stand for Just Wondering, as in Just Wondering what they were thinking!
Just Wondering why you open a 21 and over Mediterranean restaurant in a prime location on the property when you can't even execute? If you can't do something as simple as a flat bread, why have it on the menu?
Just Wondering why you say it is a tapas style menu and the food comes out when it is ready when in reality, it doesn't? During our meal, 75% came out in 5 minutes and the balance in 30. When we asked our waitress she said that she held some of the orders back to even things out - Just Wondering what she was thinking.
Just Wondering why the Cacio e Pepe is smothered in butter and flavorless?
Just Wondering why the place was half full at 7:30 on a Sunday night in early January when it was a balmy 75 degrees outside?
Just Wondering why you say something is gluten free when an hour later it is brutally obvious that it wasn't?
Just Wondering why our waitress would comp items and not even mention it to us when she gave us the bill?
Just Wondering why you would turn away a young couple with a sleeping baby in a stroller when there is nobody in the restaurant?
Just Wondering why you are trying to be Naples instead of playing to your strengths as Marco Island? If we wanted an atmosphere and price point of Naples restaurants, we would drive the 30 minutes.
As a side note, Just Wondering what happened to Frank Carroll who used to play at Quinn's?
Delicious food, really friendly waitstaff. Would definitely return and take friends!
The waitress was absolutely fantastic. She was a great help in making all the choices. Dylan and Victoria has a wonderful birthday celebration and having an excellent waitress only helped the experience and complimented the entire dinner. Thank you so much!
Terrible food. One oyster was clearly bad. Another was shucked so poorly it was mostly sand and shell. Gave up on them after. Spaghetti squash cacio e pepe was mush with parmesan and no seasoning. Fungi flat bread was asinoffensive as any big cracker with a bunch of under seasoned mushrooms on top would be. Braised pork was a pile of dogfood dressed up to look like a piece of meat.
Overstressed service even though the restaurant wasn't full. A runner going from table to table saying "is this food yours? Is this food yours?"
One of the most pathetic displays I've ever seen - particularly for a place positioning itself as high end, sophisticated, and for adults only.
The setting is great!! The food was good!! The drinks were good!! The waiter was nice but really thought that more training is needed. When you have a tapas restaurant I truly believe that it would’ve helpful to offer suggestions on what pairs well. We were given no guidance. Long wait time between our selections. Had reservations requesting outdoor seating and then when we arrived were told that is was first come first serve for outdoor seating. Disappointed. We own in Marco and would like to think we would give it another try but there are definitely some kinks to be worked out.
Great place to dine. I loved the food and decor as well as the service.
Was very good but small portions. Meal was very expensive but view is very beautiful. Not a large menu but food was good, just wish there was more of it.
We were there for NY Eve. We saw the menu in advance and knew we would have to make the best of it. It was far too limited and abstract to please a broad range of foodies. For example; the opening act of oysters should have had a choice such as 2 grilled shrimp or a non-seafood. My guess is that only 50% of the public care for oysters, so we sent ours back to the kitchen. Our server was definitely very pre-occupied with something else that evening as the service was pretty lousy. It was supposed to be a special night out for us. We have come (and are actually coming back tonight with friends) to the Tesoro Terrace many times since it opened (with pleasant experiences) and had never tried the small plates dining experience mostly because of the menu. Because it was NYEve we were willing to give it a try. Unfortunately, we won't be going back to the inside restaurant until the menu gets a re-vamp. Also, would have loved to have some sort of a salad choice in the first course. Also, lights needed to be dimmed. We felt we were in a cafeteria that evening at 8:30 pm. However, the filet mignon was one of the BEST we have ever had. Extremely lean and tender. A home run! It was a delicious grade and the desserts were awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed those two courses. The free champagne was not drinkable unfortunately. An upgrade offer for champagne would have been a nice addition as well. We would have done it. Would also like to see you replace your house pinot noir. "Le" something. It is extremely dry; we couldn't finish our bottle. (very irregular for us) I haven't noticed that before during the many times we were on the balcony so it must be a recent wine change. We love the JW and want to see it succeed; thus the reason for my truthful comments here. I don't mean to be offensive. I rarely write reviews as I know they can be so subjective. Thanks for your time.
Great place to share small plates! Excellent!
