Restaurant was close
Waygu A5 beef, sun-choke risotto and cream potato purée were all very nice.
Service was excellent in the “outdoor” dining area. They have heat lamps to help with fall and wi yet weather.
Best part was the excellent monitors!
Great food just gets really cold at night—I would close the doors and ceiling or add more heaters
Still the best.
This place is not happening. Food is just ok. Steak was good but not appetizers.
I was beyond bummed when I heard the Bazaar by Jose Andres was closing at the SLS hotel in Beverly Hills. It had stood strong for 10 years and now it seemed like yet another restaurant had fallen victim to this pandemic that has rocked the restaurant scene.
Then, like some weird ray of butter-soaked and perfectly-seasoned sunshine (I know that makes no sense), I heard the news that the same chef team and service staff were all remaining to forge a brand new restaurant in it's wake. I was beyond excited to see what this opportunity would mean for the passionate people behind it that decided to not just roll with punches, but roll up their sleeves and fight back.
The atmosphere of the dinner service was one of the best outdoor dining experiences I've had recently. The drinks were all top-tier and expertly hand-crafted with care and the food...oh the food. This new restaurant focuses you on the fundamentals of each dish and what makes it come alive at it's core to burst with flavor. Now instead of wondering HOW to eat something like at the Bazaar, I was thinking HOW MUCH of each plate I could fit in my mouth in one bite.
And brunch...O brunch. There's a special place in my heart for day drinking with good company, over mouth-watering food. Now you really can't go wrong ordering anything on the brunch menu as it's all incredible, but there's one dish in particular that got me. I was hesitant to order the avocado toast in fear I would become yet another millennial over-paying for a dish I could have made, half-awake and hungover, for less than $2, but...BUT! WOW! It's hard to put into words because it's exactly what it's supposed to be--avocado on toast, and yet it's so much more.
These days, when long-running LA restaurants are shutting down everyday it seems, you've got here a committed crew throwing themselves into creating some of the best dishes I've had since this pandemic has started. They deserve every bit of success this restaurant gets. Cheers!
The menu this restaurant has on the Open Table site is absolutely not the menu they have in the restaurant. I was going for the Tapas they had on the site and they don't even have tapas anymore. The waiter said they didn't update the site menu yet! The service was good, and the food we ordered instead was fine, but nothing special. Unless you want to pay $150-$300 for the steak, I would recommend you to go somewhere else. Also, we came for dinner, and I think this place has better ambiance in the day time. I wouldn't go there on a date.
Nice experience, and the food was excellent. Great experience!
Liked it when it was BAZAAR.
Like it now that it is TERRACE since the food sources are still good.
Very small menu. Food not tasty. Restaurant has an awkward setup. Never again
Overall not so bad. Oysters needed standard beignet and cocktail sauce horse radish, lime, and tabasco. Ceviche was very good
Great ambiance. Beautiful outdoor terrace. Feels very secluded, away from the cars and traffic. It’s a hidden gem
Thinking this was still run by Jose Andres', I was not surprised that the food lacked everything that I loved about The Bazaar. It's not this restaurant's fault, it's prevalent in most well known spots that the pandemic has caused restaurants to lose their will to shine. Otherwise, it was enjoyable to be out with friends. Hope they make it!
Everything was beautiful from the scenery to the plates. I enjoyed the experience all around.
The food was amazing, I give the chef all the stars. However the service and the decor left so much to be had. The waiter & floor manager were not attentive, and table maintenance was below average.
We stopped in for Happy Hour and ended up staying for hours, drinking wine and catching up! Their tartare selection is fantastic, the oysters and ceviche to die for... lots to chose from for both seafood and meat lovers and outstanding quality. We were also lucky to get the manager, Anna, for recommendations. She is truly knowledgeable about the menu and clearly passionate about the service industry and the hotel itself. She took the time to understand what we were in the mood for and made sure that we had a memorable experience. High level service and high level quality food is a combo rarely found nowadays in LA. Highly recommended!
The food, service and ambiance are outstanding! The cocktail program is particularly noteworthy - they have some of the most talented bartenders in LA shaking up delicious Don Julio cocktails here. Gorgeous outdoor space. The manager, Ricardo, was very hospitable and a pleasure to talk with. Highly recommend!
Not great it was just lacking overall. I know it’s been hard during covid. Our sever was nice but also lacking. I wouldn’t go back. My friend did enjoy his risotto.
SLS shoudl be ashamed of itself. The Terrace is just a temporary money grab for the hotel while it figures out what to do to replace the Bazaar! We came expecting a great experience -- instead we got mediocre expensive food! The cheese platter looked like it came from a Ralphs deli! No bread or crackers. When we spoke to the manager about the quality he said that they only had a few days to figure out a new menu after the Bazaar closed. Pathetic excuse for providing bad quality and overcharging customers! Shame on you SLS!!!!
Carlos is an extraordinary mixologist! Highly recommend letting him mix you an creations to drink.
Bazaar and its menu is gone. The food was still good but we were eating in front of the valet parking. Not sure if that is the experience that I want for a 4 star restaurant. The interior terrace supposed to be open soon but right now for me the experience is poor. Small menu and small selection of everything. We witnessed how several tables left after seeing the menu. Opentable still shows Jose Andre’s menu that is not longer available. Please update!
I’m really going to miss this place
Thank you for an excellent meal.
Last dinner service for this magnificent restaurant.
You will be missed dearly.
Mr. Jose Andres, please stay in touch.
I love the view! I wish there are more choices for food. A great place for drinks I guess.
Great service and food. Had a great experience.
