TBD... By Vikram Garg
The restaurant’s design is elegant and minimal, yet the culinary experience is anything but simple as it takes the palate on an exploration of Chef Garg’s global career and eclectic influences. The menu features a selection of ala carte dishes, a tasting menu, craft cocktails, a curated wine list, and a private dining room with bespoke menus – all of which, deliver a non-traditional experience with sustainably sourced superior ingredients where culture, cuisine and conversation are plated perfection.

Delicious healthy food with attentive service. Social distancing is great. I felt safe and comfortable dining here
Enjoyed our night dining at Tbd on my husband’s birthday. My daughter would like to go back again.
Food is good!
100% worth every penny. Our appetizer, soup, and entrees were phenomenal, our food came very quickly, and the staff was very kind and attentive.
The beef tartare and the foie gras gyoza were outstanding, both imaginative and successful variations on the standard presentations. The scallop risotto was also excellent, but not what the name implies: two perfectly seared scallops topped a richly flavored broth containing the mushrooms and risotto-style rice, but there was far more broth than in a standard risotto. So again a well-executed twist on the usual. Good selection of wines by the glass. Service from Genya and others was friendly and very attentive: as in the best-run restaurants, service was decidedly collaborative. Highly recommended for those who like trying new "takes" on the familiar.
The food was good but the whole experience was ruined because we told our server that there was a nut allergy in party and when dessert came he didn't warn us that there was walnuts in all the dessert. Our two kids got a severe reaction. The ribeye portion is small and not cooked to order. We asked for medium rare and the center was still cold.
Food was ok, but not worth it as those prices. The cream puffs came out of a bag, the rice pilaf tasted chemically, I got one lonely carrot in the entre dish. The service was great, ambiance is great, the wine pairing was spot-on. Just not the food
Amazing food and impeccable service. I wouldn’t call this a French restaurant as indicated on open table. It is an eclectic mix of flavors from various parts of the world along with some Indian flavors in some dishes. The results are quite delicious. The restaurant is also significantly more laid back than some busy spots on Waikiki and the vibe is really pleasant at the Lotus. The mango kulfi dessert is very impressive.
We went for my husbands birthday dinner. We did the four course meal with wine pairing. We were not disappointed in any way. Great meal, great service, great night.
Chef has a great experience here playing to his cultivated strengths and traditions to create a memorable unique meal which blends his life’s culinary voyage. A must stop! Bon Voyage!
Ambiance ok. Felt like a cafe setting.
4 of us had the chicken curry which they all enjoyed.
I had the pork chop which could use a bit more flavor. Was a good cut of pork notably.
Potsticker appetizers were ok.
Probably will not return
Food and service was good.
Excellent food & service. And Chef Vikram took the time to
Visit our table and talk to us. He’s awesome!
Beautiful, comfortable place! Knowledgeable waitstaff .
Tasting menu with wine pairing is worth it
We had an excellent experience! Every dish we had was superb, so very delicious! Service was great!
This was one of the best meals we have had ever. The service was also outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and would go back anytime. This was a pricey evening out, but worth every single penny!
By far the best service we have experienced in Hawaii ever. The menu is thoughtful and minimal with many experiences to genuinely taste the subtlety and flavor in the dishes. The modern take on local food was fun and exciting. The wine menu is amazing with affordable choices for absolutely delicious wine.
Excellent food and service. No idea why this wouldn't be packed on a Friday night, it deserves the attention
I hate saying it because I usually applaud chef driven cuisine, however we were not impressed. The flavors fell short, yet the pricing is luxury. I don't mind spending on fine dining, but I want my palate to be wowed. The server also clearly forgot to put in our order which made the wait time long. He made it up with a drink on the house, but he felt cold the whole time. Maybe he just had a bad day, I don't know.
Food and service excellent! Wonderful evening
The food & service was amazing! I would highly recommend the wine pairing with your dinners. Our server Katie was extremely knowledgeable, attentive & so friendly. She definitely enhanced our experience.
TBD is an calm oasis amid the frenetic hustle and bustle of Waikiki. It’s an elegant, stylish setting in a quiet area of town a 5 minute cab ride away from center of hotel row. Here you can slow down and enjoy a delightful meal and a great conversation with your dining companions. The $75 menu is the “best deal in town” and definitely with it. We all enjoyed every item. Plenty of great options for gluten free folks.
Great food and drinks. Loved it
You can’t go wrong with choosing your own four course tasting menu! Add on the wine pairings and have a marvelous evening! The food is delicious and a good value compared to other restaurants of this caliber.
Food and the service were outstanding! Highly recommended!
Unique and delicious!
Took a friend out for her birthday. We had the tasting menus : ahi tartare, baked shrimps, soup & Caesar salad, scallop risotto & lamb shank. Everything was done just right, except my soup came out somewhat cold. The wine pairing was great too, esp the sherry & port with the desserts.
We enjoyed the evening!
Great food and atmosphere, a ltlle pricy for the portion size.
We will happily return. The food was good, wine pairings were thoughtful and well-matched to the food, service was friendly and attentive but unobtrusive, and the decor/atmosphere is very open and relaxing. The menu is brief but with enough options for different tastes/moods, every dish we had was flavorful, well-seasoned and well-executed. Made for a very pleasant evening out. The 4-course tasting menu was a particularly good value. Only reason 4 stars and not 5 is that nothing on the menu stood out -- however every single element of the meal was very well-executed. TBD is clearly run with a high level of culinary knowledge and hospitality industry professionalism.
Damian was amazing ! Food was perfect
We def can recommend it
Great dinner..quite pricey but..perfect!! Top rate!!
Wow great food from a Master Chef. One of the best In Hawaii!
My daughter didn’t eat much of her meal so we had it packed to go but they never brought it back to us and we forgot and left without it.
There was no dessert offered for lactose intolerant people.
Everything about the evening was superb. The service was excellent. The food was exceptional. The beverage menu is very interesting and the wine list has something for every budget. The dining room is very attractive too.
Wonderful food and service. A little loud and uncomfortable chairs but can overlook because of the attentive service and great food.
Fantastic restaurant service great food amazing highly recommend
One of the nicer places to relax and have a great meal. Not expensive considering.
The food is not very French. Trying too hard to be fancy. TBD is a good name because it’s trying to decide what is going to be when it grows up. Food was mediocre and had weird non French flavors. The French accented waiter was rude.
Birthday with my husband.
It was my mom’s birthday. The food was fantastic, and it was made extra special by a surprise birthday treat for dessert for my mom. Absolutely fantastic!
We ordered the four course menu.
1. Escargot shrimp (very good) and tuna tartare (good missing a wow element)
2. Onion soup (ok flavor was room temperature)
3. Curry de jour (the clear winner) and lamb tajine (barely touched, meat was tough and overall not a fan)
4. Mango dessert and the banana puffs with caramel. Puffs were good and the better of the two.
Appreciate the service, ambiance, and drinks. Would possibly return and order other items. For Oahu like the concept. Overall just hoping for higher quality of food.
