The filet imperial was one of the best dishes I have ever had.
Short staffed, slow and loud. Not the combination I wanted for an important business dinner.
Tavernonna is always a good option for Italian downtown. It has a good ambiance, and good service. The food has always been very good.
The service was great, the food was alright but fairly overpriced for portion/quality. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go there, but probably wouldn't be a top suggestion either.
They were very accommodating to our large group of volleyball parents. Food came out quickly, hot and had great flavor
Decent but overpriced food, not much of a selection. Are work your cocktails. Although, I did like that the mens restroom actually had a baby changing table... They be woke, but not the woke you're thinking. They know men are dads too.
Not at all the same food we had pre-Covid. The pasta was thick and sticky. The carbonara was so salty it us was inedible. The focaccia was very good. The rigatoni was not special. The prices for the level of cuisine was ridiculous. The wait staff was apparently not empowered to offer replacement meals or compensate. Wait staff was helpful otherwise.
Poor quality food, high priced.
Food was good, service could’ve been faster, as there was hardly anyone there OT was probably 10-15 before our waitress came. The ambience was nice, it was low lit so it was kinda of cool
Food was excellent and service was very good too. Limited menu though for an Italian restaurant.
The restaurant and hotel attached definitely need to staff up. The food was enjoyable but probably not worth the price tag.
Showed up and they had no waiters/waitresses, the bartender was the only place serving.
Nobody at the door.
They didn’t have 3 cocktails we ordered so we left.
Book reservations for branch based of the menu online. When we arrived it was a basic breakfast buffet with nothing from the menu available. The server explained why they weren’t serving any of the menu items, which we completely understood. However, it would have been nice to be informed about that change before we booked since it didn’t sound like this was just a one off change to the menu.
Food was meh. Server was low energy. And my car was left running by the valet on the street and stolen (yes seriously). So yeah my experience sucked.
The service was very poor. It took 15 minutes to get one cocktail and an iced tea. Then my drink was incorrect. The restaurant wasn't even half full so we should have had better service. Our waitress never checked in on us once we received our food and didn't ask if we wanted another drink. Please note though that was good was very good. Just not an overall great experience.
The service was outstanding. The food was nothing special though.
Excellent food, service and value; for sure to return.
Excellent food and the staff was great! We will definitely be back.
Service from our waitress was excellent. The focaccia bread was good. I got the wild boar pasta and was a little disappointed. It didn’t taste like wild boar and had random hints of bright citrus. It just didn’t work together. I usually love wild boar pastas. My husband had the carbonara and enjoyed it.
Servers were great. Anna took great care of us and Dalton was very helpful as the bartender. Overall good service!
Dark and priced high
Great staff. You need handcrafted drinks. Great food. Great experience overall! We will definitely be going again.
They were very understaffed. There was one wait person for the entire facility.
They did not serve bread. The house salad could have used more dressing. It was good, yet a bit bland. The Cioppino was good, yet several shellfish were empty. The favor was excellent. The pastas were excellent. The Carbonara was a bit salty. The Wild boar Ragu was most excellent.
I will be back.
Disappointing dining experience, had been wanting to try out this place for Italian food. My spaghetti was undercooked, sauce had no flavor and although the chicken parmesan serving was generous in size, it was also lacking in the savory department. Salad was good, small portion, focaccia bread was nice, but an additional cost, as was the salad. Compared to other restaurants for similar fare, this was very overpriced. Plus, they don't validate parking so another $10 added to the evening that was as disappointing as the rest of it.
Great food and great drinks. Food took a while, but was worth it!
Only 1-2 people working. The bartender was trying his best but there was no way he could keep up with food and drinks. The food came out at different times, we waited forever for drinks, etc.
We had a phenomenal experience. The waitress was very kind and informative. The food was delicious and as much as I enjoyed the signature cocktails, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied they were able to make a Black Manhattan for me!
Our server was really great! She handled our 2 tables of 6 perfectly. She was knowledgeable, patient, accommodating and friendly. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Pasta was undercooked and service was not good. Expected better - very disappointed. I do not recommend and will not be retuning.
After we were seated, our server didn’t come to our table for at least 10 minutes. It took another 20 minutes before we got the drinks we ordered. The food was okay- nothing special. The music was slow and quiet, I could hear every table’s conversation.
Food was amazing! After sampling some of everyone’s, all the meals were fantastic. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the slow service. Our server was so soft spoken we couldn’t understand most of what she said. If we asked a question, she would go to check and not return for another 15 minutes. We had children with us that were ready to leave so when the check came I tried to pay right away. The server took my credit card but instead of helping us get out the door, she left my credit card in the back and went to help another table. We didn’t get out for another 20 minutes. Definitely not the best impression.
Not a good value for the money. 2 small meatballs for $12 🧐, a chewy New York strip for $30. A small pour of wine for $10
The meal was excellent and the server did a really good job assisting us.
Very, very bad food. Two steaks were ordered at the table, one med rare and the other medium. Both came out well done. Cuts of meat were extremely low quality. Potatoes, surprisingly, had no seasoning. Chicken parm was 90% breading, 10% chicken. All meals at the table were the saltiest thing any of us had ever tasted (and we've been to Chili's). Only silver lining was that one filet was cooked properly, but was ruined by the amount of salt. Unfortunate since we wanted to like this place, but I cannot recommend. Come for a drink, steer clear of the food.
Waited over an hour before I had to wave someone down for a drink and another 45 min after that to get food. Staff would lean against the wall talking to each other and were obviously not busy. No one cared about service that night and many people around us experienced the same. PLEASE SHARE. Do not waste your time and money there
From the moment we walked into the restaurant to the time we left, we never warmed up. It was extremely cold at the restaurant, it was hard to enjoy the food when you can’t feel your hands or feet. I got the spaghetti and it tasted like it was undercooked. My husband got the rigatoni and the portion size was less than what we expected considering the price was about $23+ per plate. The service was alright, it wasn’t as busy as you would think it would be since it was Valentine’s weekend, our server took some time to get to us. The place itself was very nice. Very romantic. It would’ve helped if the actual restaurant was warm considering it was below 0 outside.
Amazing and delicious valentines weekend evening
Service was slow. Small menu, great food and decent value.
For a whooping bill of $50 plus dollars - very small portions. Chick Parm tasted as if it has been fried days ago and rewarmed. The tab did not include any bread and all sides were extra. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
We have been going to Tavernonna for our anniversary for the past 8 years. Each year we have been given phenomenal food, service, and quality. We have never been given a reason to not go to the restaurant, and hope that it will be there for a long time in the future for future anniversaries.
