    Stuck us an empty large cold room….that hadn’t been cleaned in a while. No background music…complete silence. Service was slow…food and drinks arrived sporadically. Food was ok, overly salty. Over all experience was nothing close to the final bill. Valet parking was a circus coming and going.

    Service was awful! We had reservations for Saturday brunch, but the hostess never showed up to greet or seat us. The wait staff looked like they just got out of bed and could care-less if you were helped or not. The place was full, but everyone was looking at each other like where is our food and server. This was supposed to be an upscale restaurant, but I would choose Waffle House over this place any day. We finally just left and went to Snooze AM Eatery, so glad we did.

    Food wasn't cook properly, it arrived ice cold. Ravioli replacement for the tortellini was still frozen in the inside. Drinks took over 30 min to get and for the cost were VERY small, like half size drinks. Hostess was extremely unprofessional. Server was very attentive and tried to take care of us as best as she could. With so many other dining options in DT, we probably will never go back.

    Hats off to the chef. I had the walleye (which I'd never eaten) special and it delivered. My suggestion: turn the lights down in the evening. We needed some date night ambiance!

    We went to Tavernonna ,for the first time, before heading over to the Sprint Center. It was a Sunday night and pretty quiet, so they had a limited Happy Hour menu. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance. We chose to sit in the bar to watch the end of the Chief's game. The service was excellent. Our waitress, who was also bartending, checked on our table multiple times. The wine was very good. The food was amazing. I had a smoked chicken pasta and I can honestly say that it was the best pasta I ever had. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes. The restaurant is connected to Hotel Phillips, and I understand there is a speakeasy at the hotel. I am looking forward to that as well.

    Overall, it was fine. Our food came out and it wasn’t hot but not cold. A little pricey in my opinion, but over all taste was good. The restaurant itself was absolutely freezing inside.

    I want to say that none of what I am about to say is the server, Chris', fault. He did the best that he could've done with what he was given. We had a reservation for 7 at 5:30 PM for a company dinner. The first thing that the waiter said to us was that he just clocked in, and that he already has FIVE other tables, besides us. Not his fault, however, why were they still accepting walk-in's if the kitchen is so backed up? I wanted to give our waiter grace, but unfortunately my boss didn't, and I really do apologize for how some things were handled. With this being said, we waited over an hour and a half for our food to come out after ordering. Wine that was ordered didn't come around until after they had collected our bill. It is also worth noting that there are no vegetarian options, so you will have to essentially "build your own plate", which will get very expensive, and is very annoying for the kitchen to have to do. I absolutely understand the struggle of being understaffed, but pushing your waitstaff to their limits is not how you should be handling it. We were told that the waitstaff and the kitchen was understaffed, and that they didn't have a dishwasher. If this is the case, then you should absolutely start limiting how many people can be seated at one time. The employees do not deserve to be stretched so thin, because it will always reflect in the service. Management, whether that be in restaurant, or corporate management, needs to understand that their employees are human, and that they need grace. If you are understaffed, take less tables. I'd rather have an empty restaurant and exceptional service, than full tables and a waiter scrambling to make things right. I do sincerely apologize to Chris. If that night weren't so busy, than I believe that he would've given us great service. It's absolutely not his fault that managers see empty tables as money lost, but they don't see the toll it takes on the staff.

    Food was mediocre. Ordered Ravioli with vodka sauce but tasted like jarred gravy sauce. Had a reservation for 2. They put us by the kitchen door. We asked if we could have a window seat and were told the windows are for the people in the bar. We wanted to move anywhere else but were told our table was the only availability. By the time we finished dinner there were still tables by the windows and elsewhere on what I can only assume is the restaurant side since that is where people were eating. Wouldn’t go back.

    Very chilly inside! Waitress was unaware of the Hilton guest appreciation dinner menu that the front desk had shown us upon check-in. No bread or rolls come with dinner. Had breakfast there the next morning. Eggs and bacon were fair, "breakfast potatoes" were tater tots. $4.50 for orange juice and $3 for coffee! Food was ok but probably won't be going back.

    Food was very good, but bar service was terrible. We waited nearly 30 minutes for our first round of drinks. It wasn’t that busy. Our waitress was pleasant and very apologetic. Wait people frequently get the blame for screw ups in the bar or in the kitchen. Service slowness would seem to be systemic. Overall, the food was quite good, although my date’s broccoli took Al dente to a whole new level, think basically raw, the rest of our meal was quite tasty. Don’t go here when you are on a tight schedule.

    We're laid back and can put up with a fair amount so the fact that we finally had to ask if "everything was alright" to our waitress reflected the variables that probably culminated in our frustrations being voiced. The waitress forgot to put in our order so it took over an hour. Other tables that came in 10-20 minutes after us had their orders taken and meals served before we saw our appetizer. The manager was apologetic and comped the meal which was kind but the reasoning for a huge party downstairs didn't account for others coming in after us, ordering, and getting their meals before we even had a chance to order. Additionally, the wooden table was incredibly sticky and there were some fruit flies flying about. The front area seemed more appealing to sit in- we were in a back room that was dark, almost felt like an old tavern- maybe it was the fruit flies and sticky wooden tables. Despite these conditions, the food was very good- creamy pesto rigatoni with grilled chicken, asparagus, and caesar salad. Well prepared- it was all brought out together due to the mistake. Tough to recommend even though the food was excellent and the location was terrific for our show at the Midland Theater.

    We had chicken piccata and chicken parmigiana, both of which, the chicken was way over done and hard. Informed our waitress, who was great, as her service was prompt and very friendly, but no resolution to our meals.

    My wife and I had a wonderful dinner of Lobster Bisque and Filet Oscar. Both could not have been prepared better. Our waitress, whom I assume was the manager or the owner, was most pleasant and completed our experience. We will definitely return.

    Not sure how this place got so may high reviews. I made a reservation, an early one, got sat down and no one waited on us for a good 20 minutes. It was not busy, lots of people walking around, we had even closed our menus as to sag we were ready to order. The table was clean but still extremely sticky somehow. When we asked to order dinner at the same time for drinks we felt as if it was an inconvenience for the server to have to write all of it down. We ordered the fried ravioli for an appetizer which was ok. My husband got the shrimp scampi and I the chicken piccata. His was mediocre and mine was very salty even after I scraped off the breading to the chicken. Very small portions for what you pay for. We skipped dessert as we simply were not impressed this far.

    The negative reviews I’ve seen made me nervous but this place was amazing. The food was divine. Usually when I go to a restaurant, I get only one drink but the Dragon Sour was so phenomenal that I had to get two. The server was friendly and very welcoming. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in the city.

    I stay at the hotel everytime I am in KC. I have had really good food experiences here in the past, but the last 2 times I was here were much less impressive. I ordered a 30 dollar salmon, which was delicious, and they served what I would swear on my life were INSTANT POTATOES! It really ruined my experiences and I decided right then that I would probably not return for food. The service and drinks were great though, and I'll just stick with drinks.

    We wanted a restaurant close to Music Hall so chose Tavernonna. The service was excellent and friendly but the charcuterie board looked and tasted old. Drinks were good though. We paid and left and went to dinner somewhere else.

    It was our anniversary dinner and the worst meal we both have had in 41 years. Spaghetti and meatball...tasteless giant meatballs with no noodles to speak of and greasy ribs with runny risotto. The only redeeming quality was the manager offering to secure a reservation at the Speakeasy and buy us a cocktail. That was the best part of our meal.

    The food & service were top notch! There was some confusion after we arrived for our 11:30 am reservation on Sunday, as they actually were closing at noon for the day & only had a brunch menu. The two staff members were extremely accommodating & we did not feel rushed at all. The brunch items were delicious, as was the mimosa. Highly recommended, but hours & menus need to be updated on Open Table to reflect their current schedule.

    We went for Mother’s Day brunch thinking it would have a reasonable menu. Unfortunately, the menu included only a few breakfast options. All of them were ordinary at best (French toast or eggs and toast). Food quality was very poor. Don’t know if dinner would be better, but skip this place for breakfast or brunch.
