The food is always delicious here and the beer even better. My wife and I love to come here for great seafood and cocktails. We always have a nice experience at TAPS.

Because of the current Covid regulations, we did eat in the enclosed patio adjacent to Brea Ave.
It was a bit nippy because windows needed to be open and there were no heaters.
All four of us had salads, one was chicken and three were salmon. All very tasty.
Server was attentive and always responsive to what ever we needed.
Tap's is one of the best places for ambiance during Covid outdoor regulations.

Food and service was great! The only thing that we didn’t like was the wedge salad. It was very tangy and came with sundries tomatoes which made it sweeter.

This was a lively lunch in a private room. Many were raving about the breakfast. Dining pre stay at home order was a special way to connect with friends, family and cherished people.

Mama Manzella‘s meatballs were reported to be delicious like the wedge salad. So grateful for the hospitality here and the greeting at the door. New couches were outside and patio was full.

Looking forward to the future when Taps reopens for inside dining. Do continue to order the menu specialties online. Pickup and delivery is offered. Excellent time. Try M. Marinated Sea Bass!

The service was good but food was only fair. Had ordered fish and chips, which arrived hot but fish was bland and lacked seasoning. Had also ordered a cocktail that I’d had there previously and was completely different although a constant in their menu. For their prices I would expect consistency with menu staples.

Went to TAPS after a game of golf to celebrate my girlfriends birthday. Found it rather disappointing. She was looking forward to the steamed clams that are no longer on the menu. The menu has been reduced and we certainly understand this due to Covid 19.

We ate outdoors in the covered patio and it was not well decorated, spider webs and too hot with the heaters. Our service was nice and she turned off the heater near us. Not the greatest atmosphere but we understand.

We made reservations for four on a Friday night during this pandemic season. Seating inside was allowed and was done so as to observe safe distancing practices. Our server, Jasmine, was the greatest. She was timely, attentive, witty, and knowledgeable. The cocktails were great, a tasty Old Fashioned. A fantastic wine selection with many, many good choices. We started with a delicious calamari appetizer. I had the beets and goat cheese salad to start and could not have been more pleased. For entrees, two of us ordered the Scallops with Crab Risotto - absolutely heavenly with so many delicate flavors. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the Chipotle & Red Ale Glazed Salmon. And a perfectly prepared Rib-eye was enjoyed by our fourth. A bottle of BV Tapestry among three of us and a glass of Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough were paired with our meals. Too much dessert, including the chocolate souffle with coffee and cappuccino to finish us off. The evening was perfect and we have Jasmine to thank who made our visit even that much more enjoyable. We'll be back, soon!

Everything was excellent our server was informative and polite. The sushi with some of the best I have ever had. It was my anniversary and they brought us a complementary crème brûlée, which was delicious. I loved the whole experience and will go back. Also during these Covid time they took all necessary precautions and I felt at ease.

I love TAPS. Won't be going back for awhile. They don't have bussers or food runners right now so although wait staff is really busy doing everything service is slow. It took over 1 1/2 hrs to get our meal.

Some of this may be covid related but it was not a good experience. We got there 15 minutes early and was asked to wait - understood due to covid. When seated we were one of six tables on the dining side - the bar side hosted a private party (no problem) however our server was a very nice young man but he was waiting on all six tables PLUS outside tables. Occasionally one of the six people at the host/hostesses assisted delivering to the tables. There also were no busboys/girls to bus tables after people left - another job for our server. If I were one of the six people at the host table I probably would have assisted the server with both the inside and outside tables rather then walking around the restaurant. Don’t know that I will go back.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal there. The cocktails were excellent. We had fresh oysters as an appetizer - tasty! My wife had the Chilean sea bass. She said it was the best she had eaten. I had the surf and turf. It was sure nice eating a sweet lobster in these Covid times. A real treat! Theresa provided wonderful service. And, of course, the fresh bread was a delight. Glad we’re open again, and we’ll be back soon.

Wonderful cuisine and initial meeting/photo op with Chef Nelson Barillas. Many raved about Taps and they are well known for their brunch and locations in Irvine, Corona and Brea.

Topics of conversation was the election. Mentions of no matter what may happen we will be supportive of the administration to come—we all are Americans and in this together.

The sparkling delight and specialty was definitely the Miso Marinated Sea Bass, WOW! Interior is cozy and the hospitality was wonderful. Parking was complimentary and service was excellent.

Despite having reservations it took about 20-30 mins to get our table. The waiter did a good job at initially acknowledging that we were there for a birthday, however, he was training someone else and after the initial interaction the service went downhill. My friend finished her meal, she eats fast, and I was still eating and he came and abruptly asked if I needed a box. Just seemed rude. Cannot even say I understand because it was not busy. Made what I wanted to be a more normal experience during this pandemic, not normal at all. Will not go back.

I took my wife out to celebrate her birthday. I mentioned it when making the reservations and confirming the reservations so when our waitress did not ask if we were celebrating anything I figured they knew. The table across of us had their birthday celebration so I was expecting my wife to get something similar. We waited quite a bit to order. When we did we ordered they oysters, our meal, and mimosas. It took 5 mins to get our water then several mins for the mimosas. The other waitress working around us sat her table and they got bread and we didnt. Our waitress never came back till she brought our food over 45 mins later. We never got our oysters. At the end my wife was upset. We have came several times for birthdays and just to come. This was our first day out with no kids. Our waitress spent time talking to other tables and we were just left. Maybe because we were younger I do not know. My wife left in tears. We got no bread, no oysters, and she didnt get her birthday dessert. Thanks for letting my wife down.

Food was delightfully mediocre, service was horrendously slow. We have had good visits here in the past but last few times have been disappointing to the level that we are pulling Taps from our regular rotation.

The Caesar salad was different. A head of romaine sliced in half with Parmesan cheese. The dressing was not very tasty. The ceviche was disappointing. Not as good as it used to be. The Chilean sea bass was decent.

Obviously they are trying to get back up and running. Tables were really close together and service was terrible. Drinks came out after appetizer. After sitting for quite some time, we ordered a 2nd round when they cleared the appetizer. 2nd round didn’t come till they were clearing entrees. We were there a full 2 hours with all of the waiting. (5:30 reservations - left around 7:30) Food was great though!

Very friendly waitstaff and food was good! Due to current COVID situation, the eating environment is a bit noisy and at the mercy of the summer temperatures. My wife and I had a wonderful time overall!

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they were very accommodating. The food was excellent. We ate on the patio because of the Covid restrictions. The patio is very nice. I would eat on the patio again after Covid. All in all it was a very nice evening.
