Birthday lunch for my son. Everyone’s meal was good.
View, service and food is great. The cocktails are well made, but pricey. We were seated on the patio to enjoy the view of the pier, but the music coming from the rooftop bar was really loud and felt like we were in a Vegas club in the middle of a nice afternoon.
Beautiful setting, great food, something for everyone. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes! Too hard to choose!
I enjoy the food for the most part but this time my chicken was overdone. What was disappointing this visit was the service. We arrived at noon for a 12:15 seating and had to wait 20 mins for a table. Then it took another 35 mins to get our first drink order. Service is really slow. The time from ordering to getting food served is very long and they didn’t bring everyone’s food at the same time. We dined outside to enjoy our meal in the great weather and to see the beach view. But on top of it all, a party of four got seated next to us and they brought two dogs that did not stop barking. I have dogs and I love dogs. But I don’t want to dine with dogs at a sit down restaurant. Come on people...
The location and atmosphere is nice but the food was average at best and the service was poor.
Excellent location and excellent food at a great price. Will definitely dine here again.
The only thing that took a bit was getting the brunch menu to us. The host stand also wasn't very pleasing because we were standing in line waiting to get checked in. Two women cut in front of us we had been waiting and for some reason the hostess helped them before helping us. Also the brunch menu should have been available at 10am not 11am because we were told it was a brunch at that time in the morning. So we waited for the 30 minutes for the brunch menu. Food was great as always. And our server Ana was really sweet.
Food, service, and ambience was lovely! Bottomless mimosas for mother’s day- yay!! I only wish parking would have been totally comped for the amount of $$ we spent. We did get validation, but still had to pay $8, plus tip to valet.
The food and setting were nice. Our Server (I believe her name is Gragana) was most attentive.
Beautiful lunch right on the ocean with live music!
Food was tasty but service was slow. Also, online it said complimentary parking with validation, yet we had to pay because it, "isn't complimentary, but it is reduced" according to the valet manager.
We had brunch here for my husbands birthday because we love the location and we were hopeful that service had improved since our last visit. We were disappointed. The service here is horrific. There is no greeting, no smiles, they are slow and not helpful. A table next to us got so frustrated over the lack of attention and their empty bottomless mimosa that they got up and served themselves. My mother in law was asked by our server if she was going to be driving today after only her first mimosa refill, which was insanely rude. We keep giving this place a shot because we love pacific city and pasea (and you really can’t beat the view) but we will not be coming back here anymore. There are plenty of other restaurants in pacific city with the same view and far superior service.
While the food was great, the service was awful. Ordered appetizers that never arrived. Servers were non existent. Poor customer service.
Great brunch, great service with relaxing ocean view.
They did not come over and offer dessert or sing happy birthday like requested.
Booked for 10 AM brunch but when we arrived we found out brunch didn’t start until an hour after (11am) we arrived. Disappointed in both Tanners and Open Table for leading us into thinking brunch was available for the time we booked our reservations - Also told by valet parking would be at no cost for the first 4 hours (we were only there for an hour) but when we left we had to pay for valet even though we had our parking validated
Breakfast, nothing special, $150 for 4 people. Overpriced for a disappointing experience
Had an awesome Easter breakfast! Our orders were taken within a few minutes of being seated. Our food and drinks were brought out with minimal waiting. We had the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, and Cali Omelette. Great meal, great service and great ocean view.
Service was not great
Monday night, but service was extremely slow. Only 2 servers on.
This was our first visit. We will be coming back. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant.
Food was great and a good value.
The scallops were delicious. The shishito peppers lacked salt and flavor overall. The halibut was over cooked. The burger was good. The cocktails were very good.
Worst service we have had in a long time. After being seated we waited 15 minutes for anyone to say hi or bring water, and that only happened because I went back to the front desk to ask if we would have a waiter. The food was like bad bar food. I would not recommend this place, even with the great views of the ocean, to anyone.
Good view and delicious Brussels sprouts
Great location, service was solid and the menu variety met our expectations.
Will visit again.
It was our anniversary which I noted but they never mentioned or recognized. I was sad about that.
Service is horrible. I timed 18 min from ordering a glass of wine to receiving it on table. When wine came with the bad mood server I decided to ask for check and leave premisses. There is better business around thirsty for my money.
On a recent (March 2019) visit to Tanner's my family and I had terrible service. So much so that the other wait staff noticed and occasionally would ask if were still waiting for someone to help. We were seated at the only table on the side of the restaurant patio instead of with all the other tables parallel to the ocean. If I'm going to pay inflated prices then I expect it to be for the view and ambiance but with out that, I'm simply paying $30 for pancakes for my three kids. I know not every experience can be great and sometimes there are things going on behind the scenes at a restaurant but even if I factor that in, it was still crummy service and overall a bummer experience.
Overall a good experience. The food was good but I was caught off guard by how loud the dinning area is.
Overall we had a nice experience, however our server was not great. He was a little rude and not attentive at all. It felt like we was annoyed to even be serving us. The food was good, the environment was great! Very beautiful place :)
We walked in at 10:30 on Saturday morning, many tables available. Asked if we could have brunch and the hostess said, sorry only if you have a reservation. Walked outside booked a table on OpenTable and 60 seconds later walked back in and said we had a reservation, then we were seated. Funny and sad
Good food, great view. Good times. I don't know why I have to write 50 characters. The first 25 said it all.
Great food, great views. A bit noisy with the pool next to the outdoor seating area. Also outdoor bar that is above the restaurant had loud music.
Jake Lindborg is the best!!!
Nice evening everything was fine the portions were a little small for the price.
Can’t beat the view at this restaurant. The staff was very nice although I think they forgot about us at one point and if it weren’t for the fact that we were in no hurry it would’ve bothered us more. They were very accommodating so it made up for it.
We sat outside and ordered several things to share! Yum
Beautiful hotel & restaurant decor. Our particular server was not attentive to our needs and would disappear for long periods of time. The food was very good but a bit pricey for the portion size. The sidecar I ordered was not served in the traditional manner. I will try this restaurant again in a few months and hope that they have improved their wait staff.
It was such a fun afternoon. Upon arrival, we noted that there was live music being played on the patio so we asked for a seat out there. The musician was so talented and managed to play all my favorites. 😀
We took advantage of the special menu offered for Restaurant Week and honestly, everything was delicious! I started with the Curry Squash soups (with a topping of fun toasted pistachios) and the salmon tacos as my main. My SIL got a gem salad (generous portion, fresh and yummy!) and the hamburger. We shared the mains. The hamburger was perfection! It had just the right amount of bite to it and it was cooked perfectly. The French fries - OMG!!!
We each had a cucumber cocktail with vodka and it was refreshing and not too sweet. My afternoon lunch felt like I was at a resort on vacation somewhere: great cocktail, great view, great music, great food, great service. Who needs to go on vacay when they have that in their backyard. Good job Tanners!
Looking forward to the next time!
Nice restaurant, but it was extremely loud. I had to yelled to be heard. Not sure if I want to go back again.
