This was my first visit here and while I had heard great things our experience was just good...For starters the music is so loud you can barely hear yourself. The wait staff even had to talk over it from several tables over. They were out of several menu items, but what we had was good. Our server was very good but overall, it wasn't my best experience. I did, however, love the light up menus!

The atmosphere was wonderful, it was beautiful decorated, and they had great presentation of their dishes and drinks. However, the food did not impress us at all. The chips for the salsa were very hard and not enjoyable. The asada tacos were very dry. The frozen strawberry mango margarita was very strong, but did not have any fruit flavor. We also did not like that they set a time limit for how long you can stay at the table. We felt uneasy and rushed by being told we had a time limit when being set.

Our experience was absolutely amazing. The food was 10/10, the service was great, and the drinks are so delicious. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely loved our experience at Tacos del Cartel! Our server Cesia was incredibly attentive and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The drinks were delicious, and the mezcal tasting, complete with grasshoppers? Be for realssss! was a unique experience you won’t find anywhere else in Louisiana. Special shoutout to the captain, Samantha, who was amazing and made excellent recommendations. Whether it’s a casual night out or a special occasion, this place hits the mark. Great atmosphere, great service, and the food is just as impressive. Highly recommend!

Food was inedible and tasted and looked extremely cheap. They try and impress you with a fancy menu and the astronomical prices and when it comes out it’s a purple tortilla with Taco Bell cubed steak and a bunch of raw onions and that’s it nada nothing else.. The most annoying factor was they had zero food that my son would eat. I asked for a flour tortilla with grilled chicken and shredded cheese. Nope. I asked for the manager and they said we can do a cheese quesadilla with cheese and fries if you want chicken that will be an additional 8.00 on top of the 17.99 😂😂 insane.

Food and drinks are very good and it’s an overall fun place. It’s very loud inside so it can kind of be hard to chat but overall fun experience.
