   We were on the covered patio. Temperature was perfect for lunch. One fan was pointed straight at me (from the ceiling) and they redirected it. Food was fabulous-- and bit on the $$$ side.

   Food was good. Service was not great. Too many young and inexperienced servers, too many rules and regulations. They are trying to cater to upscale folks… but I can’t see it lasting with the way things went for us tonight.

   We came here for my wife’s birthday with friends. First our entire group felt the music was just too loud. It made it difficult to enjoy conversation with our friends. Our waitress, I believe Siceria, was asked at least four times to bring us chips and salsa and finally brought only chips after the fourth request. We watched her bring chips and salsa to other tables even after we had asked for it multiple times. When she did finally bring chips, she didn’t bring the salsa. One of our friends got up from the table and walked over to ask the manager to bring salsa and he brought two very small containers of salsa. Then we noticed other tables had large cups of salsa and the container they gave our table probably only held about two tablespoons worth. We ordered the queso fundido and they only brought 3 tortillas to go with it and we had a party of 6 people. But there was enough of the cheese to go in at least 8-10 of the tortillas.I will say that the we did all enjoy the queso fundido, once we were all able to try it. One of our friends had one of the staff spill guacamole on her shirt and in her hair! For whatever reason he must have thought it was a good idea to hold the tray right above her head. They also brought her soup with no spoon and when they came back to check on us her soup was cold. After asking for more tortillas multiple times to go with our appetizer they finally brought them with the rest of our food. Then when they brought the ticket they had added $4 for them. The owner came and removed the $4 and when she came back with the ticket she added $72 of gratuity to our bill!!! Given the opportunity we would not have given our server the 20% gratuity, but we still would have tipped a decent amount. We will not back. With them adding the gratuity, that was just the last straw. There are too many other restaurant options in Baton Rouge. It’s a shame we probably would’ve given it a second chance. But we just found that to be very insulting!

   We made reservations on OpenTable and were seated at the designated time. We were offered inside or outside seating. The waitress Charlize was wonderful and attentive. Even our water glasses were never empty! The queso fundido was a perfect appetizer. The chips and salsa were very good. Not spicy. An original tasting salsa. Very good. Everyone enjoyed their main course. We all had different variations of tacos but all were FILLED with the protein. Will definitely go back!

   Highly recommended!!!!! The service, the food, the plated, incredibly good taste on everything. Omg! The ceviche, the desserts. Please live that experience. 10/10

   Outdoor chairs are so bad if you’re a girl with shorts/skirt. They are like wicker/rattan and just dig into your skin. Waiter asks if we want still or sparkling water (never mentioned tap) so we assumed “still” meant just tap/free water. We were brought a giant bottle of room temp water that she then opened (I’m assuming we were charged for two of these) — sneaky business tactics. My husband was given two hot corona beers. I have never seen him more distraught in my life over a hot beer 🤣. The food was okay. I could prob cook better tacos at my house. Probably won’t be back/sorry not worth the price.
