   The best value sushi in London- Michelin star sushi restaurants do not have as good an omakase as Sushi Tonari at least in London

   They didn’t see us on time for our table, and it was very loud in the location didn’t feel as romantic as I might’ve wanted it to be

   I highly recommend all my friends to visit this sushi restaurant. It’s a hidden gem located inside Mercado Mayfair.

   Ofc we are not speaking about same level of Tokyo branch and far away from Japan legends…but that’s something I guess no one search for when coming here. A young talented (and lovely) chef provides a satisfying Omakase with huge dadication and attention to details…also with some uniqueness tips that made me a memory (such as the leaf taste background in the Kani nigiri, amazing!) Shari style is very light and familiar to “European tastes” (almost like a Gohan). I really suggest this place for the ones who want to “start to move” in sushi world spending an easy lunch in a relaxed, not formal vibe.

   If you are looking for authentic sushi - exactly the way it tastes, is prepared and served in Japan - then look no further, this is your sushi bar. The sushi chef, Osamu-san is not only skilled and professional - he is charming and speaks perfect English. It is an Omakase environment, the sushi is absolutely delicious, and we will definitely return! It did take us some time to find it, but when you find it, the location adds to the magic. It is nestled in the former church on 13 North Audley Street...now called Mercato Mayfair. You enter through the 2 larger pillars of the church, turn immediately left and go down the stairs into the crypt, turn left and it is as the end at the left.

   The chef was very nice but there was a mistake in the system as I waited for 40 mins before they started serving my omakase. No fault of chef or severer, system error

   We had an excellent experience on my birthday with my 2.5 year old son who also thoroughly enjoyed the meal! The food was absolutely wonderful as always, and the staff was interactive with us and my baby in a cute way! Would recommend and would return for many more meals I'm sure!

    i had a fantastic 40th birthday meal with my parents, we were the only 3 there and the chef and the lovely lady working there also were both absolutely fantastic and really nice to be given one of chefs creation for my birthday and an ice cream plate for my birthday it was absolutely outstanding as was the sake i tasted i could not fault any aspect of this meal or service or quality
