We love Sushi Nama, & feel so grateful to have such an awesome sushi place in our town!!
Horrible. It took approximately an hour and a half to get our food. Service was terrible. Waiter and owner were fighting throughout. Prioritizing to-go orders over those dining in house. When food arrived, was not prepared properly. Also, incredibly expensive. Never again
Food was delicious! It was a little too chaotic and noisy in there for my liking; found out the following day that there were outside tables down in the square, reserved for Sushi Nama, so I probably would have opted to be outside instead. Still a pleasant experience, nonetheless.
Food quality is top notch, but very expensive. They work hard to make sure you’re enjoying yourself
Sushi Nama is one of our favorite places in WP. Definitely worth a visit!
If you like sushi, this is the place to go! It ranks as one of the best that I've encountered while traveling throughout the U.S.
Their Saki choices will definitely enhance your food experience!
What a terrific new addition to the Winter Park community! Delicious, fresh sushi, fantastic vibe and a super hard working friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!
Poor service, average (and overpriced) food, poor selection.
The food arrived at different times, I was done with my sushi when the noodle soup and the chicken arrived for the other guests. We’d been told the chicken would be served 5 minutes after the other dishes, it took much longer than that for both noodle soup and chicken teriyaki to be served.
The roll that accompanied the Sushi had apparently been sitting for a while, the algae wrap had dried up on the outside, and the rice had that bluish translucent texture that it only gets if waiting for longer for the guest than the guest for the food...
Worse, the noodle soup had a fruit fly in it. The jovial response to that was „oh yeah, those bugs are everywhere, can’t get them out“. We ended up not paying for the soup, and that was that.
Highly unlikely to ever visit this place again.
“Hot Tea” was served at room temperature. Loud Rap Music from bar area. Asked to turn down and they toned it down a notch. Prob a better fit for young ski bums.
We're big sushi fans and this was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Great service and friendly atmosphere Only suggestion...could you guys turn the music down a bit? It was kind of hard to hold a conversation. Loved the playlist though!
Would recommend eating here - the Denver roll was excellent.
SO UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING. best sushi my husband has ever had in his life. Staff was so attentive and kind and creative. All their suggestions and everything we tasted was absolute perfection. Thank you all for making my husband’s 40th birthday so perfect.
I took my family to Sushi Nama after a long day on the Winter Park slopes. There were six of us, all Sushi lovers. We ordered way too much, and ate it all to my surprise. We had miso soup, dumplings, various sashimi and sushi, and a number of rolls. Everything was first class. You would not expect “big coastal city” quality Sushi in Winter Park, Colorado. But we found it at this restaurant. The service was also great! Highest recommendation.
Amazing sushi in Winter Park, CO! Who’d a thunk it? Red Dragon roll with tuna tatake on the outside was very original. Nigiri of tuna, yellowtail and salmon were all spectacular. The squid salad and agedashi tofu were great starters. We were a party of 9 and were sat at the back table which was like a private room. Very hospitable service. Thank you!
Thank you Gormay13 for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed all the food and service and the back VIP table. Happy Holidays from the Sushi Nama Team!!!
They called in the afternoon to confirm our reservation but when we arrived they had no record of our reservation. We waited 45 minutes for a table and no one ever apologized to us. Our server forgot to put our order in for our hot food
We arrived on time for our Open Table reservation but they didn’t have us down so 3 adults and 4 kids had to wait a good 30 mins and service was very slow once we were seated. Waiter was kind and joyful but manager/host was super negative and shouting at his staff. The whole ordeal took us 2 hours and they ran out of rice!!!! How does a sushi restaurant run out of rice?
The host/owner was very accommodating and attentive. Best sushi we’ve had in a while, entire meal was delicious too. We’ll be back!
Great Sushi in a relaxing atmosphere which was perfect for a get together with friends. We couldn’t decide what to get so pretty much ordered everything which filled the table. We thought we would have tons of leftovers but couldn’t stop and ate it all! The manager, Te, and his staff were amazing and sushi, drinks and hot sake were always at the ready. Everything was extremely fresh and we’ll be back soon for certain!
Thank you very much for dining with us and so glad that you had a wonderful experience. We source our fish from all over the world and it is great to hear that you can taste the freshness of the product. It was our pleasure servicing you! Sushi Nama Team.
