Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.

    Summit House was a very pleasant atmosphere! We enjoyed the prime rib special, however I wasn’t a fan of the horseradish, was too strong for me. Furthermore, I ordered an Espresso Martini but it was straight up vodka. I didn’t finish the drink and asked them to take it back but It was still on the bill sadly. Otherwise everything else was delicious. The Sampler dessert was a nice way to try all of the desserts but I wasn’t very impressed. All in all, a good experience for a relaxing outdoor meal.

    I had the Skuna Salmon which was prepared very well and was served on a bed of spinach along with rice. That along with the house salad made it a wonderful meal

    Summit never disappoints. Food and service were excellent. We were there for a 48th anniversary and they made the experience memorable.

    My wife and I came here for our second anniversary celebration. We were not let down from what people had told us. We will definitely come back. We had a great waitress. Food was spectacular. The sea beans were new to us. We felt at home.

    Restaurant was packed on a Sunday eve. Service was very good, including valet, greeters, waitstaff and assistants, all were excellent . Main dining room was packed Almost to the point you were backed up against the guests at an adjacent table . Noise level was high. Our guests raved about the prime rib, said it was the best they ever had. My meal was not good. A combo of negatives for me, some items were over salted and others undercooked . As my guests were thrilled I was happy as their host but the dining experience wasn’t a good one for me

    All appetizers were delicious. The escargot, the wedge aalad (the best), and the lobster bisque were all delicious. Our entrées were the prime rib, the filet mignon, and the John Doey (fish); all very good. The only complaint was that the filet was slightly overcooked. More medium than mesium-rare. Service was excellwnt, as always. The view from patio was great, with ideal weather. My third visit to this restaurant. They’ve all been extremely pleasurable experiences. Very expensive, but worth it. Highly recommended!

    The Summit House is where we were married on 6/20/03. The food, drinks, service and ambiance have always been top notch. We are excited to see the expansion to open up more tables/availability. Favorite foods: John dory, Cream Corn and Prime Rib.
