Summit House - Fullerton
The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside.
To one and all, welcome!
Book your next event with us
I will come back soon. Had a good time !
Great food, wonderful service!
I was very empresses with the overall restaurant I will definitely recommend this to my family and friends . We will going back for sure. Bobby
Called in to say we would be late, my husband was still on the fwy. They held our reservation and our favorite booth. My birthday was not compromised. Thank you, Charles!
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, from giving us tables and celebrating our anniversaries and birthdays with a complimentary dessert, but also being extremely on time with their service as we had an extremely tight schedule to meet. They read my comments when booking, and paid a lot of attention to detail. Thank you Summit House! We will be back for more!
My favorite place to eat prime rib it is very excellent there. Would encourage every one to enjoy
the beautiful place to eat.
The chicken was not that good it tasted very gamy and their prime rib cut was not what was expected
This place was so incredible. The setting and view so impressive. The ambiance was amazing. The food was exquisite and our waitress was absolutely impressive. She took excellent care of us. We had such a wonderful experience at Summit house and plan to tell our family and friends that they should go there as well.
We dined on the Prime Rib and enjoyed it. The service was amazing and the servers helped us enjoy our evening.
Joel was a fantastic and engaging server. Made the eve all the better!
Great restaurant great food. Ambiance a little loud for a friday night.... more kids then normal.
This is my go to place for celebrations. Great food, attentive staff, and a magnificent view. You can’t ask for more.
Simply stated, we have been dining at The Summit House since 1997. I don’t go back to a business that does not maintain service as it should be. The food never fails to exceed expectations.
Early Valentines Dinner
Everything was really perfect from the greeting by the valet, to the receptionist and the the wait staff. We were seated in a lovely booth, which made visiting much more pleasant. The waitress was exceptional. Our food was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious.
Outstanding meal and service. Kudos to our awesome server who helped guide menu decisions for my elderly parents (split plates, etc). Prime rib was the best I’ve ever had. Another in our party had the salmon which was amazing, but didn’t care much for the mashed carrot side. Also Wasn’t too thrilled about the lamb, maybe just my personal palate. A very special evening to celebrate a bday and enjoyed the twilight views. But s bit pricey so will only be back once/yr.
Fantastic food and service as always! Best restaurant in north OC!
We hosted a lunch for six. We were so fortunate to have Joel C. as our server. He was absolutely outstanding. He was very entertaining without being intrusive. He obviously has a great deal of experience. He thought of everything including shared appetizers to share desserts. The service was truly excellent. The food was very good. Since I have a medical condition that requires that I eat gluten free, Joel knew exactly what i could eat and what I should stay away from. We have always enjoyed The Summit House for entertaining, but we enjoyed it even more so with the fabulous service. Many Thanks.
The service was phenomenal but the feel of the restaurant is very old school. My wife mentioned feeling like we shouldn’t speak too loudly. The food is fine for what it is. But the menu does not have some the exciting modern dishes we enjoy in major cities. If the price was not so high I would be more positive but we spent $200+ and it was just ok.
I come here often on special occasions and brought my friend to celebrate our birthdays (we are a week a part)! The ambience was nice and the server was great! The food was delicious but the Portebello Mushroom Tower was a no go from us. It looked like a mushroom burger and the taste was similar to pizza w/ hardish grains in tomato sauce. It was a bit pricey for some mushroom and squash ($35 at dinner time), hence why the value and food rating is lower. We didn’t have the heart to telk our server. (Just found out the mushroom tower is $26 during lunch 😕.) Overall this place is excellent for castle cut prime rib, spinach side, creamed corn, and an adjustable side of mashed potato or veggies (instead of the Yorkshire pudding that comes with) ! If you want an appetizer, the muscles are good (if they still serve it, I can’t seem to find it on the online menu).
They gave us signed birthday cards and birthday desserts!
The service was spot on and very attentive. The food was prepared as requested and the presentation was impeccable. The outstanding filet was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. I won’t lie the other thing that brings us back is the creamed corn. Every trip we come here for dinner!
Birthday celebration. Enjoyed the dessert!
Our FAVORITE restaurant!! We have been dining there since the restaurant first opened and have never had a bad meal or service. The profiteroles for dessert are a must!! Valerie was our server and did an outstanding job!!! HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!!!
Very good food and Lovely service. We felt well fed and well treated. Great experience!!!!
Our server, Sara, was dynamite! Super personable and hospitable. We, as we always have been at The Summit House, were well attended to.
Food was fantastic. I only know what the 12 oz filet and cream-corn taste like since they are the only things I have. But delicious as usual.
We come here every year for our anniversary and enjoy our time immensely.
We love to bring friends here for the first time; everyone says this is their new "favorite" restaurant for special occasions! Your prime rib is the best anywhere, but we've had everything on the menu, and it's always tantalizing. My favorite salad in the world is the SummitHouse salad. We love the variety of bread and because we eat so much of that as well as the salad and entree, we only have room for dessert to share. Sometime, we will have to order dessert first! The specialty creamed corn and spinach are also favorites of ours. The restaurant has the creamed corn recipe on a card by the front door. I have made it several times and everyone loves it. We have been going to SummitHouse for several years now, and see the same waiters and waitresses and bartendar. They are real professionals and make the evening extra special. You can take your time here and make it a real event! Five* stars!
My Boyfriend and I always come her to celebrate our Anniversary and we absolutely love it her. The food, service and views are just amazing. We recommend it to all our friends and family members.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Polite, moderately attentive waiter. Just seems that as soon as waiters realize we are not having alcohol and that their tip will be lower, our service declines. I’m sorry, we cannot drink, but we do tip appropriately and do not ask much of our waitstaff. Maybe it’s because we are not needy that their attention seems to wane. But the food was fabulous, and everyone was very welcoming. The extra touches when it is a special occasion ~ the card, the free dessert ~ make the occasion that much more enjoyable. Thank you, Summit House!
Excellent food and service is impeccable. A great place for any celebration, or just a special night out. The Prime Rib is delicious and the Creamed Corn is wonderful. I wish I had room for dessert, cause I know the creme brûlée is very tasty. Oh, and my cousin had the pork chop that was so tender and moist!
I took my daughter and some friends here for her 14th birthday. We got all dressed up for the occasion and arrived right on time. We were sat promptly which impressed me. We were sat in the middle of the room which was a little disappointing since we couldn’t appreciate the view from the window but no biggie. The service was friendly, however, very slow. The menu was limited in my opinion and very over priced. I think the chicken was the least expensive for $38. The rib eye steak was $68. The food was tasty, however, I still don’t think the prices need to be quite that high. For six people, one of which had a salad and no drink the bill was about $400 without the tip. And that was with only one glass in wine and three soft drinks. I would only rate it a three overall.
They have low calorie selections, which I appreciate. It's always a pleasant experience to dine at Summit House.
Everything was pretty much 5 star, EXCEPT for the "Loud Family" that sat behind us. Not the restaurant's fault. It seems that this family was trying to entertain everyone, even the Valet guys out in the parking lot, ...…..they were that loud.
We always enjoy our meals at Summit House Restaurant. But this time food was good but service was not as good as all the other time. I will still recommend this restaurant to our friends.
It was our anniversary. Had a window seat, they signed a card and put on our table. Service excellent as was the food. They gave us a free dessert. We have been going here for years for our anniversary.
Everything was fabulous from start to finish! Great food, wine and especially service.
Never disappointed at Summit House! This is our favorite spot for special occasions. Prime rib & creamed corn are the absolute best!!
great service and food ! My dad and I had a great bday celebration !
A very nice restaurant with cozy and homey decor. Excellent appetizers and entrees and a special birthday treat for desert. Should definitely give it a try.
My friends and I have had dinner here to celebrate a birthday for the past four years. The food is consistently delicious. This was the first time that the pacing of the food was just right. In the past our entrees were served mid soup/salad. Our server, Gladys was top notch.
