Sullivan's Steakhouse - Raleigh

Asked for medium land but was served rare land. Sent back and second was cooked perfectly. Seafood was perfect. Service was mediocre. We were not served in the order we sat down. Waitress seemed unconcerned about service or undercooked food.

The wait was humiliating even with reservations! I had 9 people and no ones water or drinks stayed full. We had to ask more than 4 times for service even before the food was ordered. Some received drinks while others sat and waited. We had to ask for silverware and even though they was told it was my birthday I was the last to receive my food which was burnt! They didn’t bring my sides and I had to share food off others plates til they brought my aged season steak out! Then the busboy Brock some glass next to our table which shattered all over our food and drinks on the table !!! Only to just walk away without saying anything to us!

Excellent experience, will definitely be back for any special occasion or date in the future.

Waiter had too many tables. We asked for a second bottle of wine for our main course and we had to ask twice and it didn’t come out until dessert was served. We asked for an after dinner drink menu which never came so we finished our dessert with the small amounts of water we had left. It took forever to get the check too. Soup course and steaks were amazing. The potato side was cold and slightly burnt and the bread pudding was hard as a rock. Definitely not our typical Sullivan’s experience. We dine here every year for our family Christmas and almost any special occasion in between. Very disappointed with this visit.

Way to long fo appetizers Brussels sprouts no taste under cook steak to spend 360 dollar

We had dinner here on Christmas and unfortunately the takeout orders seemed to overwhelm the restaurant so in house guests had to wait. They were out of the prime rib special at 5pm. We were here an hour and a half before we had food, and took 30 minutes for a drink. When we finally got food, the steak was delicious. Thankful they were open, but it wasn't the experience we were hoping for.

It was very disappointing. The meat was tough even through cooked rare.
There was no social distancing and will not return after our experience on Christmas.

This was my first dining experience with Sullivan's! The food was absolutely delicious! For appetizers I had the half dozen raw oysters on the half shell and my husband and daughter shared the calamari. For dinner, I had the Scallops, my husband had the Crab Cakes and my daughter had the Rack of Lamb. Dessert, Cheesecake! No complaints on the food AT ALL!! My only gripe was our waiter who seemed to be very disorganized. Initially I thought it was because it was Christmas but as I observed other waitstaff in the restaurant it really seemed to be only my waiter. He continually bypassed our table to serve a table with a larger group. We sat with empty glasses needing refilled for at least 20 minutes and then we had to stop him as he kept walking by not checking if we needed anything. EVERY time we had to stop him to get his attention so that our needs could be met or ask another worker as they walked by our table. I ordered a glass of wine and literally did not get it until a half hour later!! By the time I got it I didn't even enjoy it and left half of the glass on the table. I will definitely visit Sullivan's again but would hope I do not have the same waiter. Having said that I still gave him a decent tip because it was Christmas! He wasn't rude just unorganized! My daughter took a video of our plates I wished it would have been pictures instead so I could show them.

The food at Sullivan’s is consistently delicious! Service is excellent.

Steaks great!

The overall service did not meet my expectations at this price point. Sides came out much later than entrees, drinks not refilled timely and overall average service at best. A disappointment for our holiday meal.

Great experience. Felt safe and our waitress was extremely attentive

Not as good as I thought it was going to be. It was loud and the ambience wasn’t anything special. Service was slow and our server got our check wrong several times and took forever for it to be corrected. However, the drinks were amazing.

Service was awful. Our reservation was at 8, so when we sat down we were hungry. We ordered drinks and appetizers, and our drinks came out. 45 minutes later our appetizers came, with the food we’d ordered... management came up to us and apologized saying the waitress was “new” but still charged us for the apps we didn’t even want at that point. Just disappointing for how much everything is there

Excellent service! JK was incredible in taking care of us. She was as outstanding as our meal.

Our experience was excellent! We come here for special occasions and this time was for my husband’s promotion. Gabe was great! Very attentive, respectful and prompt. Food was amazing as usual.

First time here. Very nice restaurant. I had called earlier today to inquire about Covid policies in place. I was told all tables are socially distanced and that everybody is required to wear a mask constantly, unless actively eating or drinking. When the hostess called later in the day to confirm our reservation, I confirmed these policies. We arrived and we’re placed at a table that was no more than 3 feet away from another table. The staff was very polite and helpful, and moved us to a table that was much safer. However within an hour the restaurant was completely packed, no empty tables, and not a single diner wearing their mask at the table. Complete opposite of what the manager had assured me on the phone. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe throughout the meal, and was especially disappointed given that I was told the opposite would be happening. For a $600 meal, very disappointed.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Sullivan’s. It is one of my favorite places to dine in Raleigh and this time reaffirmed why. From the starter Spicy Shrimp tacos, my filet and my husband’s crab cakes, the best Brussel sprouts and finally my favorite key lime pie , the meal was superb. Our server was attentive and respectful. The atmosphere subdued with appropriate spacing for safety. We appreciate our evening and look forward to dining again at Sullivan’s.

The food was bland and the service was lacking attentive response, just for my table not other table around me.

Food was very good. However my steak was over seasoned. The waitress did get me another one. Too noisy next to the kitchen so I would recommend sitting away from it.

Our experience was fabulous! The food (ribeye & salmon) was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The wine was reasonably priced and delicious.
Our waitress was the best (Brittany). She was helpful and patient.

Thanksgiving

Very good experience and the menu items were very well chosen. The atmosphere was great and the server was superior. The only negative was that I was told no to a simple substitution of vegetables. I don't think that's really good to tell customers "no" to a reasonable request.

Absolutely spectacular, as usual. Their Thanksgiving dinner is always delicious. You can’t say a bad word about this restaurant.

Thanksgiving was so nice and special at Sullivan’s. The turkey plate was good, but not great.

It was amazing

This was a great experience for us. The food was phenomenal and we would definitely return. Please be careful though as everything looks great and you will want to sample / order a number for things...but remember there is a bill at the end of this!!

It is my favorite restaurant for special occasions or for swanky dinner out.

Sullivan’s is just awesome. The food is superb. The service was great. The filet had the best seasoning. I also tried the crab cakes and they were awesome. If you want a great meal, great atmosphere and great service Sullivan’s is the place to go.

We usually love this place, but COVID-19 has really affected the experience. We loved the old menu, so this paired down one does not compare. There seems to be too few servers, and we had to wait for drink refills and check. Also, my husband’s steak had so much salt and pepper on it that he could barely eat it. Before the virus, the food was superb.

Our server Dianna was amazing & the food was delicious!
