Dinner was fantastic, staff was great, our waitress Valerie was great but she could have lost the mask. Great way to spend our anniversary
A great birthday dinner!
Great experience, great staff, classy establishment.
Great as always! The food and service were 5 star!
Sullivan's Steakhouse has come back very strong. We ate there for our anniversary. Tim was our server. He was attentive and very helpful. The food was excellent. Filet Mignon was a 10 according to my husband. I had the salmon. It was quite good.
They took our picture and put it in a folder for an anniversary reminder. Two managers came by the table and inquired how everything was.
Sullivan's knows how to make evenings very special. Highly recommend Sullivan's.
Do your drinking at home. Food was great. Drinks really expensive.
We booked a private room for 10 people. We were celebrating a special occasion. Manager left us a card celebrating the event. Service was spectacular and everyone enjoyed their meal!
Totally disappointed. Started off with a semi qualified wine steward telling us outside wine was not allowed unless you rented a wine locker from them. This is the only restaurant I'm aware of in the KC metro with this policy. They did agree to allow our bottle on a one time basis after a long we ordered a shrimp cocktail as one of our appetizers & while the presentation was attractive, the shrimp were borderline inedible. Badly overcooked. The steaks were good, but not in the top 2 in KC, & the really weird thing was the waiter insisted we cut into them at the table & he inspected them with a flashlight. All in all, not a good experience, especially for a $100/plate meal. This may explain why there were four tabled occupied at 7:45 on a Friday night. There are many better choices in the area.
A fantastic meal! Our usual go to is J. Gilbert’s but Sullivan’s is definitely fighting for our top spot!
Wife and I came here for a date night. The food and service were great but not good enough to justify the cost. My filet mignon was a little dry and the $11 I spent for the bacon and bleu cheese topping wasn't worth it. The bacon was nearly an inch thick and not what I was expecting at all. My wife's salmon didn't have much flavor. The ambiance is very nice, you definitely feel like you're eating in an upscale restaurant (because you are). All meals are "a la carte" style so expect to pay $10 or more if you want a side with your entree. This is a great dinner spot if money isn't as much a factor for you. My wife and I spent $160 excluding tip - 2 entrees, 1 cocktail each, 1 side, and 1 dessert.
Great food and server! Great atmosphere overall…
We always have a wonderful experience when we go to Sullivan’s. Luis has served us before and he made our early Father’s Day dinner even more special. He’s the best!
Spectacular meal, service, and ambiance. Always a treat, dining at Sullivan’s.
Excellent food, excellent service. The waiter was very attentive and helpful with menu options.
The not so great ambiance
I think they've gotten greedy. $15 for a small single-shot vodka tonic??? Really! That's crazy!!!!!
It was my daughters birthday & everything was fabulous
What a lovely meal with friends for my birthday! The food was amazing (those philly steak egg rolls on the appetizer menu were outstanding) and everything was cooked to perfection. The steak with Gorgonzola butter was glorious. We had the bananas foster bread pudding for dessert and I highly recommend it.
Service and food here is always good. They do tend to cook steak higher then what you ask so if you want medium ask for medium rare. I’ve also had a couple issues with food not coming out warm but when you tell them they always fix it and most likely won’t charge you for it.
Food and service was very good. We were seated by the kitchen and the noise level was very loud, with staff dropping dishes on the floor every few minutes!
The King crab legs I ordered was not the freshest I have experienced. The service and environment are fine, but I would expect the food a little better. After all, it’s Sullivan’s!
Excellent food and service
Dinner with my kids just to spend time together. Great quiet place to have dinner a drink and catch up.
First off the ambience and facility are very nice and the staff is very professional. However the food lacked for us. One of our sides came out ice cold, the steak came out severely over-salted, and the lobster was just so-so. I really wish we could give a better review, as we were there celebrating an occasion.
We’ve been to Sullivan’s many times but this was the first time in about two years. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated. We then waited an uncomfortable amount of time for the waiter while the dining room swarmed with wait staff. When our waiter arrived we ordered drinks he seemed very distracted and not interested in waiting on us. We were not given an opportunity to order appetizers but had to catch him before he quickly turned away to do so. He did not talk about the specials, discuss soup or salad or check on us after our meals arrived. My scallops came with sand and my 2nd glass of Pinot Grigio turned to a moscato. When I finally caught him to ask for another glass there was no apology given nor was he happy to had to go back to the bar. Our wait after dinner for our check was 20 min. 20 min without anyone stopping by the table. The dining room was busy, but with 4-5 tables open. The night before we ate at Jersey Mike’s and had better service. We will not go back to Sullivan’s.
Great food and service. Long bone ribeye is outstanding.
We celebrate our anniversary each year at Sullivan’s. It’s a great treat and a great place to go. Patrick was a great server and had outstanding food recommendations.
The place was completely empty which distracted from the atmosphere. Pushing lunch menu on Sunday at lunch. Came here because it was the only steak house open for lunch on Sunday. Would not recommend. Have been her before for dinner and it was very good.
Mother goose on her nest by the front door was a treat for my grandson.
Noise level terrible: for $36 expected bigger lobster tail, cheese steak appetizer way overpriced for quantity received. Was anniversary special. Had to mention cake being complimentary which he did bring. For $200 expected little more quantity. Other restaurants to chose from for special occasions
For the price point of the food, we should have been able to order Medium-Rare and not have to sent two steaks back due to being well done. They replace the steaks, but a good Rest. would have taken the side dishes back (due to now being cold) and delivered a new plate (s). Server did everything to try and make the service and requests better.
Food was overpriced. Server tried to charge us $22 for a glass of your house Chardonnay. All others wines were overpriced also. I won’t recommend your restaurant to anyone. Server was not on top of our needs.
Excellent food. Service still getting its feet underneath. Food was amazing and will return.
Wonderful food and servixe
Solid food — everyone very happy with steaks and sides. Food quality and overall experience comparable with other chain steakhouses in town. Our service was excellent on this visit — waiter was good combination of friendly, informative and attentive (but not overly so). Cowboy ribeye done Pittsburgh medium rare seemed to be crowd favorite steak in our party of 6.
Exceptional food and attentive service. Sullivan’s is our go-to place for special occasions.
The hamburger came to the table seriously undercooked and the fries came lukewarm. By the time the burger came back "up to temp' the fries were clearly still not fresh, hot. As my companions were almost done with their meal, I told them to keep it. No apology was offered by management.
