Our service was fine although we sat with empty drink glasses for about 15 min before we stopped and asked someone to fill them. The restaurant is just gross. The floor is dirty. The ceiling tiles are dirty. One of those places where you’re glad the lights are very dim. The steaks were average but not worth the money. The asparagus tasted like it was boiled in plain water and dumped on the plate. The sweet potato casserole was burned on half of the top crust. Shrimp cocktail was good. Brussel sprouts were so-so because it was just a weird way to cook them - they were chopped up with cabbage and other veggies.

We’ve been to Sullivan’s several times, and it is invariably excellent. Atmosphere is upscale but relaxed. Service is always very good. The food is always tasty and delicious. One of our favorite spots.

Update… hopeful that maybe the first go-round was an off night. On our return… at least the wine was good again. Unfortunately it was more of the same. To start our “ticket time” (the time elapsed between when an order is placed and when it’s ready for service) was 45 minutes. The restaurant was also not very busy when we arrived. Our server was MIA and when asked about our order another server brought it out to us. My filet mignon was over cooked, served lukewarm with a portion actually charred and grizzly. It was accompanied by a charred/burnt piece of whole garlic. By contrast I had a baked potato that was cold and smothered with nearly a pint of sour cream. My wife did enjoy a very nice wedge salad and French onion soup. I really expected more from a restaurant group that we have enjoyed at other locations in the past. At least the wine was good… our server was also very good. The problem was the food, overall was subpar. The Caesar salad was ok as well as the bread. The cream spinach was different than any I’ve ever eaten and not creamy. The steak was practically not edible… half was grisly, tough and chewy. Our server said she told the manager and we were given a small discount. The worst experience I’ve ever had at a Sullivan’s.

Benjamin was hands down the best server we’ve had in recent dining experiences. From the seafood tower and steaks to the wine and side recommendations, he was on it! Extra special to bring out the ice wine for our Canadian and talk about the origin.

The ambience is perfect for a date night. The service is exceptional and the food is great as well. The bananas foster bread pudding is a must!

Overall food was good, just the unfortunately under cooking of my steak (Cajun Ribeye) to the requested medium well and steak having to be return to the kitchen on two occasions. But we're going to say, due the day (Mother's Day)
